Where did you find it??
Where did you find it??
Oh
The CFD models ready in hand for the NGCs and the overall profile looks quite divergent from Kamortas
And With the an L/B ratio of 7.12 and beam of 16.9m, it should give a length of 120m most tops as dictated by the RFI cap. And will displace anywhere between 3,000 to 4,000 tons. And the hull is totally new different from the Kamorta Class.
Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) accorded AoN for procurement of Next Generation Corvettes (NGC) at an estimated cost of approx. 36,000cr in June 2022. GRSE’s in its Q4FY23 investor call mentioned that the shipyard expects RFP to be released in second half of calendar year 2024, MDL in its Q1FY24 call has stated that the RFP is expected around the end of this year, it isn’t clear if it is the end of calendar year or the fiscal year. The project is expected to be divided between two shipyards with L1 getting 5 and L2 receiving 3 hulls.
Fanaet & not 4k tons... Barely larger than Kamorta.
Is this the design for NGC? The superstructure & the MF-STAR Panel are visibly different from P-17A.

- there is a smaller version of MF-STAR designed for smaller vessels like corvettes and frigate; like the Sa'ar 6 pictured. First time seeing on a non-Israeli design
- given how lightly armed it is, just 16x Barak-8 in bow...it definitely has the feel of an Indian vessel.

Looks to be a very capable ship. Very likely to be the reason why NGMV are so gimped in their firepower by comparison.

There seems to be 2x4=8 Per One side. I think you didn't count the other side which is hidden from this view. Those launchers seem to be too small for , maybe -NG? Or NASM-MR? ITCM?Looks to be a very capable ship. Very likely to be the reason why NGMV are so gimped in their firepower by comparison.

We don’t have the specs yet for NGF but NGC will be more capable than the Talwars (all of them), NGD will hopefully have a more focused AD role with BMD/~100 SAM so what will the NGF do to differentiate itself? NGC will have ASW capabilities going by the above, is it going to be more land attack focused? As it stands there’s not a huge difference in capabilities between 17A and 15BLooks to be a very capable ship. Very likely to be the reason why NGMV are so gimped in their firepower by comparison.

In terms of radar fitment, stealth design and armament (Barak 8 vs Shtil 1), the NGC beats out the Brahmaputra/Talwar Class. We don’t have the specs yet for NGF but NGC will be more capable than the Talwars (all of them), NGD will hopefully have a more focused AD role with BMD/~100 SAM so what will the NGF do to differentiate itself?
