They are giving out free food because there is massive inventory (way above the required buffer stock) - stuff that would otherwise rot in warehouses. Now, if you want to talk about the supply-demand mismatch or the MSP etc that is an entirely different topic and even there the incumbent is gradually phasing out the old MSP dependent procurement system (which is why the <<<farmers>>> from a specific region is up in arms).

This thing has no bearing on our defense spending. We have had this exact discussion before on this forum.

If there is massive inventory then you sell it in the international market .

The MSP is not been phased out , instead I am afraid they will add more crops to the MSP in the coming years !!

I have grown thick skin after being around on this forum/DFI for a long time. I think I was more of bean picker back then. I am a spectator now a days, rather than being a participant. But yeah, sometimes I am free enough to let these affect me which might make me sound like a 10 year old child crying for candies in other kids hand instead of counting mine. I don't regret it TBH. why ? Perfect mission execution do exist in modern military history. If me crying over few things attract attention and cause people to question certain decisions and break their stupor of perfect Op Sindoor then I am more than happy to play my part.

I fear that the Meteor integration issue maybe a software bottleneck with India wanting to change the source code to enable more Indian content to be used with the Rafale .

The CNN report has nothing about the Meteor missile being used to take down any Pakistani jets .

And no one has been able to show a single photo of a IAF Rafale carrying a Meteor missile in India . The jets have been in India for 5 years and not a single photo when there are photos with all kinds of A2A missiles on all type of jets in air shows , Exercises etc. The simple conclusion is that the missile has not been integrated yet for some reason .
