IAF Rafale are not integrated with the Meteor missiles currently . Lots of reports on that even on this forum . The crashed Rafale was carrying a MICA missile confirming that .

R37 is not a missile suitable to hit other modern jets . Too slow and too big . Even if India has it which is not confirmed . Also none of the Russia, A2A missiles perform at the range advertised . India faces this issue with the R77 as well which is on paper comparable to the AIM-120 but as reported the day after Balakot the SU30 MKI was outranged and has to take evasive actions to not get hit and on their own could not get a lock on PAF with the R77.

I mean literally the CDS accepted that we had losses. There is strong evidence we lost at least 3 fighters, including one Rafale.

Is it the end of the fucking world? No!!

Did we do significant damage and showed our capabilities to hit Pakistan deep? Yes.

Could we have done more damage and hit actual assets like their AD batteries or military installations instead of runaways or buildings to drive the point home? Yes.

Should we learn from our mistakes and do proper SEAD next time? Yes.

Should we get serious increase our defence spending significantly, given the multiple threats facing us? Yes.

I am a strong believer in the Occams razor.

CDA job is to protect us and misdirect the enemy. Not give accounting details of battle. There is zero proof any 2 engine plane crashed in OP Sindoor. CDS also said no rafale is lost so selective quoting isn't gonna work. Every single 2 engine crash in ukraine russia war has both engines unsepersted from central spine. None of them satisfy the criteria I set : find me a single agreed upon/undisputed air crash with wreckage 100% on land and engine separation from crash site. This means show me a single report, not random tweets of unqualified people making shit up.
Here I will make it easier for you: find me a single crash site pic of russia-ukraine war with missing engine from crash site from dual engine planes.
Or explain from your alleged rafale engine pic, how can one engine be 90% intact- retain shape and just be dented, yet seperated from central riveting it shares with the other engine. Last I checked we as humans don't have sci-fi laser cutters that will surgically vaporize the central spine shared by two engines.

R-37M hit was on awacs
2 F-16s were taken out by Meteor

PAF shoots all its payload on DMAX ranges which are more or less wasting million dollar BVRs

The instruction from Modi Gov. was to cause minimum civilian casualties.. Large warhead detonation means nearby buildings in the congested area also get blown up..
So, IAF had no choice but to use Hammer (3/4 gumbaz of mazaar penetrated precisely).. and thus had to get very near the border. Basically a semi suicide mission considering the large warhead size of Chinki SAMs.. Modi is lucky that no pilot died on the mission..
This after Pakistan striking our aircraft first across the border during Swift retort.. So, it means military and GOI never that PAF will shoot first ..
