To me, it seems that CCP has also delivered an indirect threat, that this has happened after the "fake news" of be-headings & drone attacks is significant.

People forget that the China and Pakistani threads may be different in this forum, it's not in reality. One of the reasons of the Pakistani belligerence is that the China front is still an active threat for India, even if it has disappeared from frontal view of many here. The men at the top running the show aren't as blinded to that reality. People thinking India could do a lot more seem oblivious to the constraints which exist and the risks that need to be accounted for.

Prolonging the conflict does not favor India, as war has many tangled consequences that may take years to recover from, while the benefits are often reaped by others. The government's decision to achieve a ceasefire was made after considering all aspects.

Then what?? Again same thing will happen... U will be stuck in a cycle, where they will kill your citizens whenever they want and we will "achieve justice" only when there is mass casualty. Truth to be told some of the memebers having misgivings about MEA briefings are spot on. I too have misgiving about them. The briefings are very very high on optics and very formal. There are a lot of questions they have not answered. First is about material losses. The country need to know the facts. We need to know what losses we inflicted on the enemy and what did we loose.

Second, I am very very disappointed by the coverage over Fidayeen attack in J&K. There is complete mismatch in information between even govt. approved sources. It leads to confusion. The wording of the reports are very dangerous and meek. The govt. is falsely projecting a sense of "sab changa si". It is not. Thats why we voted for this govt. we don't want a govt. who in the name of keeping order and peace will report a bomb blast as cylinder blast.

The govt. need to be forthcoming. It will not work. Also, rightly said by someone here: ent ka jawab pathar say is not the best method now.

We need to pound pakistan now day in and day out. The sound of bombs should be 24X7.

A very bad day for us today.

I honestly don't know what to make of the 2 minute MEA presser. Before you "MUHHHH BLACKPILL" me, please explain what was all the denial and obfuscation about the attacks in Jammu and Srinagar about? I mean, what possible masterstroke can be hidden there? This is the first time I have seen a country provide a shield for an enemy country's terrorist acts by claiming that they did nothing; the Pakis didn't even have to deny attacking Jammu or Vaishno Devi, we denied it for them. People believe in the armed forces people have less faith on the government.... unfortunately. Not without reason. They have been doing ladder ladder, playing proportionate proportionate. All while we have lost more civilians than the actual Pahalgam attack!

The moment ceasefire was announced Pakistanis declared victory on social media. It's "fantastic tea" all over again. Government of India needs to understand, the objectives of victory in this information war is an narrative win.

A few holes on runways or bunch of fires in some of their air bases will rattle there defence forces, but the awam hadly knows about it properly.
We need something concrete.
We need something tangible.
We need destroyed PN & PAF assets.
We need destroyed AWACS, Ships, subs, jets.

How many of us even know of the reports that BLA may have captured Quetta? If I were GOI I would talk to the Taliban about recognising India's support on the lands they claim based on what the Afghan Empire lost to the British after 1850.
Let them take the tribal & pashtun areas from Pak, or atleast be a threat laying a claim.

Good sir you are justified in doubting our political leadership as they had let us down many times in the past. But I guess the horrific Pahalgam incident has triggered something into our psyche where even peaceniks are baying for Paki blood. As for banging them remember we achieved the objective of our initial strikes when we destroyed the terror camps deep inside Pakistan which the international community was onboard with. Beyond that we needed Pakis to attack us and escalate. This was always going to be limited to retaliation. MEA pressers are supposed to be sugarcoated but our response on the ground has been anything but proportionate. We fucked up their multiple air bases in broad daylight and they couldn't achieve jackshit even after continuous trying for 3 straight nights. So yes I believe the govt when it says our military have free hand as they are the ones determining the rules of engagement.

As for the ceasefire we couldn't say no when the other side was begging for one to the orange man. I am sure we conveyed to the orange man that we are doing this only at his insistence, giving a massive rub to this huge ego. If anything this blatant violation by the Pakis would have bruised his ego for sure and also giving us enough reasons to continue pounding them.

We are criticising Modi for not showing spine to continue this war but please also remember in the last general if some of the close results didn't go his way, he would not be the PM today. Imagine Raul Baba as PM, Akhilesh as DM and Mamata as EAM, what would have been our response to Pahalgam?
