Been following what SIFF founder Murty has been saying the past few weeks on X spaces, the blame for most of these incidents and legal abuses is on men itself. They were the ones who called for these draconian laws to signal virtue during the past 2 decades and took out candlelight protests for Nirbhaya etc even giving galaxy brained suggestions of chemical castration for accused lol. Even on floor of parliament politicians were warning of abuse of laws like 398A when it was passed but judiciary and 'civil society' were in a great hurry to pass them and move the Overton window to where it is currently.
