People have not factored the main thing till now the ‘WEATHER’. In a month by May last week south west Monsoon arrives in India. If the war brokes out there will be mess on both sides fighting in rain . The armed forces especially Army may have factored this constraint to MoD and Modi. So I think there will be only decisive strike under threshold ( on terrorists ) not to escalate into full blown war. Any kind of war is feasible only after September. I can only think of 1971 Sam manekshaw asking IG to avoid military conflict during mansoon.

China is the issue. They provide Pak military with tech far beyond their means to keep India occupied.

Imagine India sending Tejas Mk2, AMCA to Afg in the 2030s - that level of fuckery.

That's why India needs to ramp up. And actually do the same thing with Afg.

One on one without China support - Pak gets fucked brutally.

I will say something which most people may not agree with but India's Military Industrial Complex won't be ready until 2035 for any action of this sort.

GoI seems to be aware of this and will probably not escalate this tension much. It is in our long term interest to wait this one and strike through other means.
