You will never get it. It all about perception, not what's official. It's all over the place on the internet, and while I understand part of your point, I'm afraid once again it's irrelevant. My personal opinion is he knows he won't ever use a nuke, but why not threaten the west? What does he have to lose at this point, because it's really gotten so bad for Ukraine there is no hope left except desperation. 9 months! This is still good by European standards. For example, the French CAESAR needs to wait 15 months. We produce more self-propelled howitzers per month than all of Europe produces in half year. With drone and missile strikes.
Europe has really relaxed. Britain will only resume production of the M777 in the middle of next year.
We have no time to wait. Now going military tests of the towed BOGDANA-BK, with a barrel length of 39 calibers.
Of course, CAESAR and DITA are better than the BOGDANA SPG, but it is better to have 15 imperfect howitzers than one perfect one.

That article talks about plutonium bombs, but I don't subscribe to the Times, so I couldn't take a full screenshot. However, I know the content.
They did talk to an expert who confirmed that Ukraine could create such a weapon.
As for the document, I doubt that they could see a document marked "Top Secret". But there is an official answer from our Foreign Ministry that there are no plans to develop atomic weapons. So this news falls into the category of "combat geese from biolabs".

Don't those fire 152mm shells? I heard from many sources that Ukraine and the west supply of those shells are almost out. I guess they can replace the gun with a 155mm gun, but that will take time and money.
I also hear that Ukraine is running out of men, so maybe old ladies can be used.

You do know that Russia has at least 5 times the population as Ukraine. Russia doesn't have man shortages, Ukraine does. If you want to conclude the opposite because there are N. Korean soldier in Russia, then do so, but remember my advice? Think the exact opposite, an you will be 100% correct. It might be a diversion or it might be the real thing. The point is will Ukraine redeploy troops to this area just in case? My thinking is yes. Zelensky is really anal about losing land. I'm not saying that because he's a Jew. Everything you said is the complete opposite of reality. Ukraine has a huge shortage of artillery, not the Russians. Tanks? please, Russia hasn't even deployed the T-14 Armata because there is no shortage of tanks and any damaged Russian tanks are being repaired quickly. Can you say the same about Ukrainian tanks? Ukraine MLRS/patriot systems are getting destroyed and they can't be replaced. Not to mention Ukraine has no Air Force, but Russian planes have hit tens of thousands of targets accurately with FAB glide bombs. Did I mention drones? or Islander missiles yet? They are wiping out huge storages of weapons and artillery shells. I could go on, but I think that's enough for now.
