The above middle woman's dress reminded me of something.
I used to know a Bangladeshi Muslim woman here in the US. She was hyper touchy and trying hard to get a boyfriend after a break up with a white guy. She even asked me to go to a movie with her the first week we met. Barely a handful of women have ever directly asked me out in my life.
Later on, she started dating a very unsocial white guy who she then married. She was a US citizen, so not sure why so desperate for non-Muslim male companionship. She never wore the Hijab (in fact she under-dressed), but said she was Muslim and had a Muslim name.
I wonder if the Bangladeshi Muslim gene mix is more amorous than the Pakistani or UP/Bihari Muslim gene mix? Can the current Islamic regime ever truly make even half of Bangladeshi Muslim women wear Hijabs without using force?
One of my Hindu Bengali friends told me that even Hindu Bengalis (men and women) are less socially conservative than other Indian Hindu groups.
