Those were more exceptions than the norm, especially in the eastern sector. You judge by the average, not the exceptions. And even in those rare occassions, it was the young bucks on the ground that made the difference on their own initiatives, not the higher-ups.

Nope. I've seen a couple of podcasts of his on Vaad & changed my mind about buying the book. He comes across as a conspiracy theorist.
Too bad, guy had access to the war diaries of the formations.
