I have run url unfurling of all your links they are working fine with me in the admin domain. They're showing all the thumbnails correctly including video URLs and headings with descriptions. I used an iOS device to test as a new registered member to perform the same linking and uploading of the articles, which includes tabbing out as well as going back and coming into DFB. The website has held its memory.

I will still escalate it among the admins and keep the issue open. If I'm guessing then it could be a software issue with your phone. Like I said I'm guessing. Thanks for your reporting, hopefully, the issue will be solved.

Just for confirmation I've been accessing DFI for the past 1 year with 2 phones ( just as I'm doing the same here ). Prior to that I was accessing Strat Front with the same two phones for 2 years. As I mentioned in a post to SKC I never faced this problem there. So I think S/W issues with the phone can be ruled out.

Having said that , I will attempt the same exercise as & when the opportunity arises. If the problem persists I'd draw your attention to it .

This is what I meant by the blurb not being visible. The only time taken was to type a single sentence & upload the link along with the comments.

Since the blurb wasn't visible I had to exercise the edit control , delete the link , go back to the site to copy the link ( pls note one can't re paste the link to the post just like that , as it gives the same results - namely the blurb doesn't appear ) , paste it in the post & up load it.

Does it also not appear in preview mode ??

working fine with me now
Did you take some time before posting the link or did you post it the moment you attached the link ? It's the lag which causes the blurb to disappear

@haldilal @SKC @hit&run yo nibbas we saw when pdf got closed how they're site/domain would redirect one to the Qur'an.com
Can we do same with dfi. Have some talks with Yusuf regarding this.
If we can redirect people who would click on dfi to dfb it would be great.
Thats all on DFI owners!
Not very hopeful on redirect to here.

I am guessing, this is a resource issue. There is an exhausting list of websites that are embedded/recognized by the portal. A link from a new website may not show all its contents while pasting but may show once it is published. Once a website link is published the portals hold the memory for the next time.

If I can recall it was common at DFI.

Can you make the font bigger for mobile based browsers? Us old men have aging eyes that can’t read well with small font.

And one more thing - is it possible to add more emoticons to the like button such as rolling eyes face or disgusted face or shaking my head face?

We have standard set of smilies. Need to see where to get the rest of Smilies as present in DFI Editor.
Does anyone know where to get those Smilies from?
Have you found the source of those smileys yet? I think many of those smileys were downloaded from these sites:

In Xenforo ACP, you need to import the smiley XML files.

I personally think strong negative expressions under the post can prompt flame-baiting especially when the poster does not know the reasons and can not answer back. I am with a view that there should be only four expressions (Like, Love, Sad and anger). The sad and angry expression should be for the 3rd person or an incident/news not related to the publisher.

Disagreements should be conveyed by quoting the post and explaining the disagreement.

Again not the forum's policy and I will leave it to other admins to discuss but my personal opinion.

We got list of smilies but not able to find time to upload them here.

Will do in coming days over weekend

. someone here, dfi or discord posted screenshot of defence related website traffic
. idrw (which mainly publishes news from other sources and few original piece here and there ) had huge clicks and was top ranking compared to dfi, if true
. A page with daily news update of defence topic would increase clickfalls in dfb
.news to be attributed to original publishers as idrw does
.manual update or else something like this-

Just a suggestion.
