Where engine development is concerned, AMCA is where it was 10 years ago. 10 years of talking with no result. IMO there is no reason to suspect that there will ever be a result.

Baykara technologies also set up its own engine company and building 350 million USD engine production company in Samsun city,northern Türkiye.

Kaveri engine is in the final stages of testing in Russia, with approximately 25 hours of trials remaining.

Things get old whether you use them or not, especially machinery, radar tech, weapon systems etc. That is not a measure of using them.

Aircrafts are a consumable item. You can't use them forever. If you did understand, you'd not have said why aircrafts crash during peacetime. You'd have asked why are so many flying during peacetime enough that the crashes seem many.
