USA: President-elect Trump replaces prosecutor who pressed charges in so-called assassination plot of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun

During Trump’s first tenure as President of the United States, Jay Clayton served as SEC chairman from 2017 to 2021. He has expertise in cases related to Wall Street and financial irregularities.

Biden xi discussed their win-win cooperation and challenges ahead.

"He has expanded Beijing’s influence worldwide, including in what the United States considers its own backyard — a point Mr. Xi drove home this week by inaugurating a $3.5 billion Chinese-funded deepwater port at the start of his visit to Peru."

"China knows that “after Trump takes office, it is very likely that many of the promises made by Biden, many of the policies adopted or implemented measures will be completely reversed,”"

There is funeral in Reddit. That Libbe lala land is devastated. That liberal land of circle-jerk is devastated. They are venting in strange ways. Many believe that Trump will start genocide and all.

All of the subreddit are collapsing.
Oh no that facist, misogynist, racist, nazi, radical far right, transphobic, homophobic, orange man won, millions of redditors must cope and seethe now.

Biden was late, G20 family photo went ahead without him.

====
Reporters absolutely panicking that Biden was missing from the G20 family photo op. Forget Trudeau for a sec, the fact that they went ahead without the US President because he was late, all while BRICS leaders take the centre of the stage is quite a disaster from the US perspective. This would have never happened with Trump. The host could have done some firefighting here but did not. There's a message in this incident even if it may be inadvertent.

Musk isn't unaware that his factory in China though subsidised is massively dependent on Chinese supply chains. His advocacy of Chinese interests in the west especially the US in the EV industry will spell the death knell of Tesla which even otherwise will be beseiged in China & the rest of the world.

What he will or rather should attempt to do is buy time for his brand to lessen its dependencies on Chinese supply chains to the extent possible while portraying to Beijing that he's trying to soften Trump's approach to China.

If he deviates from this path & actively seeks to influence policy making in favour of China it sets him on a collision course with certain heavyweights within the Trump administration where he will not only be outnumbered but in all likelihood will be chucked out of Trump's inner circle . Let's not forget this is Trump's last term.

Besides I don't see how can Musk not see the obvious dangers unless he's myopic enough like most of the west's business leaders to cash in on immediate gains over the long term & who all these decades batted for China which has brought the west & its mfg capabilities & capacities to where it is today via a vis China.

Even if we discount Tesla all his other businesses be it Starlink or Space X are in direct competition with Chinese enterprises.
