I am personally baised against EOTech but hell everyone is buying themStaying true to the German motto of overengineering or over obsessing over quality.
The early models G36s with the integrated Reflex sights are now for the rear Echelons/Reserves troops etc.
EGBs use G36k as well but they run the EoTech combos.
Standard SEK/MEK teams who run the G36k also use the EoTech combos.
Hopefully the next govt increases the defence spending to 3%, so that we see more modernisation happening.
I believe we might see an increase but just not to the needed 3%-3.5%. Thanks to Trump, Germany and France will be bullish on getting their militaries stronger.I am personally baised against EOTech but hell everyone is buying them
And I don't see budget being increased to 3% anytime soon

Honestly, no. Its not something that they do knowingly, there's just way too many rules/laws and bureaucratic hurdles that the older gen have placed around themselves that we are still suffering here. Things that would take one or two hurdles to jump through with the US will take around 10-20 in Germany. Its just how the society here functions and that makes dealing with Germans(firms) etc a huge headache and not trust worthy because you have no idea who might just ruin your entire plan after spending so much time getting it to work.Indeed
It is just my personal observation off course but don't you thi k germany is lousy partner to collaborate in defence partnership

It's mainly because we don't have the right (((contacts))) there.
The Turks manage to get what they want from them and so do the Chinese in non-defense matters
