AMCA - Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (7 Viewers)

Anyways this time MoD babus are not the one delaying MRFA. It's the IAF babooz who are doing it, though for all the necessary reasons tbh. They haven't issued the RFP yet.

What exactly can we offer to EU when they are already ahead in every tech - engine, sensors, materials, virtual cockpit, etc?
INR is far weaker currency to Euro, UKP.

If some African or SE Asian country wants to join AMCA program, with 1 INR = say 50-60 units of their currency, what will they offer us?

The only thing i can think a weak entity can offer is labor, manufacturing facility.
From strong currency PoV it is cheap.
From weak currency PoV it is good enough.
That's how our Indian IT industry is working with West since 1990s.

So, will EU agree to assemble GCAP or FCAS in India with some ToT?
Will India agree to assemble AMCA in Africa or SE Asia with giving them some ToT?

In both cases, a srong joint-vigilance has to be setup to prevent espionage & leaks for this entire century.
what can the bullahs from saudi offer?? tech? heck naaaaahhhh. its money obviously, but india will try to get some workshare but i am damn sure we wont get any manufacturing work.

so should we join, i think we can, it wouldnt be easy to scam a 2035 india or even a 2030 india, our global supply chain footprint should be good enough.

This drama will continue for the next 10 years as our squadrons will keep falling and our enemies growing in numbers and capabilities.

Defence procurement is an absolute farce in this country.

What is the need for all this fucking drama and a long winded process?

This is a national security issue, we should not have to go through an excruciatingly long process to get what we want.

Just decide what we want, sign a g2g deal and be done with it.

Fuck the opposition and courts, it's national security, territorial sovereignty we are talking about.

Such deals should not have to ho through a years long process..

Is military defeat needed before the prevailing procurement system is abandoned?

For info, GCAP production company set up.

The joint venture has been confirmed: Edge Wing.

With the CEO from Leonardo, and the chair from BAES, to go with GIGO's Japanese CEO, it completes the international share of top jobs.

GCAP or AMCA first into production? The race will soon be on!
Amca has already started prototype phase.

Gcap is planning a demonstrator flight in few years, after that prototyping phase to be started.

AMCA is a fifth gen aircraft. But I do think we should explore our options with European sixth generation combat aircraft.

As far as I remember from Aero India. They already have internal TDs for AMCA if we go my some statements from DRDO scientists. Atleast that is how I would interprete those statements. And there are some evidence backing up those assertions like reports of metal cutting. And prototype is essential a mature TD.

At current stage I don't think burgericans will let us have any top Western defence tech.
We are facing same issue china faced in early 2000s, israel was going to sell missile defence but they were army twisted and forced to stop.
And china was cold war ally after breakup with Soviets.

If ADA is responsible for delays in AMCA it must punish its people working in operational research domain cause they clearly can't optimize a project and enhance productivity

What we lack for amca.
Is 1, engine tech.
2, industrial capablity/ infrastructure.
Though lack of engine tech is also largely due to lack industrial capablity in that area, like lack of test facilities etc.

Another would be, our highly risk-avoidance approach and beaurocratic delays.

And none of that would miraculously solve itself, by buying su57/f35 even with tot, the most we can do is pay them to help us biuld our industrial capabilities, which we are already planning to do with looking for JV for amca engine.
And biulding thing 50k ton forging press for bulkhead of amca.

No private industry had any experience of making any aircraft here until now.
Maybe TASL can do it as they are manufacturing c295.
But for this to happen we need engines.

No private industry had any experience of making any aircraft here until now.
The model for manufacturing of amca we are biulding is supposed to fulfill that.
Plus lots of components for tejas comes from private companies which are all integrated at HAL's facility.
And Lots of our private players now have experience of biulding components/subcomponents used in aerospace sector.
Fuselage of apache, wings for f16 etc, are biult in India.

Even if you solve all this, then there will still be problems of espionage, honey traps and Gaddars.

Different topic.
I'm talking about problems involving development of our stealth jet.

US lost lot of f35 data to chinese hackers, didn't stop US from making f35.
