Have you heard of something called strategic ambiguity? Why the heck you want to reveal what you lost or what you gained? If I have a gun with 6 bullets and you with a gun with 6 bullets and if we were in a situation of life and death, both of us would be counting how many bullets we spent each time we shoot so as to make sure we change tactics each time we didn't hit. There is no BVR disadvantage to IAF in comparison to PAF, IAF maintains First Look First Kill capability against PAF.

Modi is not to blame here, Modi didn't plan the operation it was IAF which planned the air strikes, they did tactical mistake which resulted in loss of Mig-29 due to enemy action and Rafale due to pilot error.

Tactical mistake was letting the PAF take easy shots on IAF for which hopefully some action is taken on IAF honchos.
