Its scary how everybody seems to already forgotten or not even talking about Trumps assassination bid. The momentum around Kamala is surely building up. The control of the media and the pieces they hold in every departments shows us to defeat left, it will take more than just winning an election.
I said this on the old forum, and I’ll say it again: Trump is an unwinnable candidate. 2016 was an anomaly where Michigan and Pennsylvania decided the outcome with just 70,000 votes. Hillary won the popular vote by 3 million votes but still ended up on the losing side.
No candidate has a path forward in the US unless they can win over independents and moderates from both sides. Trump is not only kryptonite for independents, but he has also managed to scare away women and most minorities.
His campaign is imploding. The DNC swapping Biden with Harris seems to have caught him completely off-guard. Had he thought this through, he would have made Biden appear stronger than he is to keep him in the race. However, attacking Biden’s cognitive ability just ensured the DNC forced Biden out and replaced him with a candidate 23 years younger.
Trump also lacks discipline and tact. Attacking Kamala’s ethnicity, her husband’s religion, and picking a VP candidate more boring than a cold bowl of noodles destroyed the carefully crafted image of a “reformed Trump” that his campaign had tried so hard to curate over the last three years. He should have stuck to policy matters; instead, he let his old self return. I see no path forward for him. Unless something tanks the economy or there’s an event that can turn sentiments against Harris, she is going to win this by a landslide.
