on one hand, describing all the symptoms of GoI not having capacity, and on the other hand not willing to consider the possibility GoI not having capacity.

as far as taking steps are concerned, we have a situation where even if GoI wants to communicate about what they are doing, it doesn't have durbaris of it's own to spin it as a narrative for public consumption.

as always, we will read about it years later in some memoir.

Lack of Communication can be squarely blamed on govt. Same people had excellent communication before 2014 in spite of all media going hammer and tongs against them. So dont blame only on 'durbaris'.

Have you seen indo Bangladesh border? There is no settlement nor any border like thing just one white stone placed written India/ Bangladesh and both side guards BGB/BSF having posts far away announcing through mike to not cross over. Few bsf guys even chasing people out who crossed over like local police. Apparently it’s a tourist attraction spot go to YouTube and check there are many videos by vlogers made on places unmarked or just one barbed wire with jungle terrain and no settlement. It’s just dhoti shivering that PLA USA Russian army all armies of world will come and make their home in kanglus if we touch kanglu border. It’s a joke on us we have let kanglus embolden behaving like cucks

Don't believe a demand to address this situation is exactly idealistic. Complaints and criticisms are intended to get them to change intent, we did much more when arguably our capacity was lower in the past.

context for using the words pragmatism and idealism in my reply, is because GoI's foreign policy past and present is characterised as pragmatism both by insiders and foreigners. obviously there is a gap in expectations. so there must some explanation for the dissonance.
