Quantum Computing

Quantum Mechanics as a branch of physics began with a set of scientific discoveries in the late 19th Century and has been in active development ever since. Most people will point to the 1980s as the start of physicists actively looking at computing with quantum systems.

1982: History of quantum computing starts with Richard Feynman lectures on the potential advantages of computing with quantum systems.

1985: David Deutsch publishes the idea of a “universal quantum computer”

1994: Peter Shor presents an algorithm that can efficiently find the factors of large numbers, significantly outperforming the best classical algorithm and theoretically putting the underpinning of modern encryption at risk (referred to now as Shor’s algorithm).

1996: Lov Grover presents an algorithm for quantum computers that would be more efficient for searching databases (referred to now as Grove’s search algorithm)

1996: Seth Lloyd proposes a quantum algorithm which can simulate quantum-mechanical systems

1999: D-Wave Systems founded by Geordie Rose

2000: Eddie Farhi at MIT develops idea for adiabatic quantum computing

2001: IBM and Stanford University publish the first implementation of Shor’s algorithm, factoring 15 into its prime factors on a 7-qubit processor.

2010: D-Wave One: first commercial quantum computer released (annealer)

2016: IBM makes quantum computing available on IBM Cloud

2019: Google claims the achievement of quantum supremacy. Quantum Supremacy was termed by John Preskill in 2012 to describe when quantum systems could perform tasks surpassing those in the classical world.

These inventions alone should rank India on par or exceed China.

To prove its capabilities, the research team used the chip to recreate the ‘Pillars of Creation’ using raw James Webb Space Telescope data. The original image was created using NASA’s Pleiades supercomputer, which had a theoretical peak of 608.83 GFlop/s and a power rating of 2,090 kW. However, with their neuromorphic accelerator paired with a desktop computer, they could output the same image at a fraction of the time and energy required.

innovation is not a paper, innovation means Make new comes from NOVA ;Latin for new.

China has not innovated but modified, it is mostly evolutionary technology. ,same technology that has been modified.

Used as propaganda since China never acknowledges copying and it is a lot of propaganda by CCP.

China leads in area the des-industrialization of Western companies by setting plants and allowing manufacturing be done there and not in western countries with forced tech transfers.

Same is happening in Mexico, but I will not say we lead because Mexico does not ask forced technology transfers and later claim we did all. we copy get it but we like any nation have ultra smart people.

Safran Aircraft Engines inaugurates a new assembly line at its Querétaro plant, supporting the production of the CFM LEAP engine and generating 150 new jobs. This step reinforces its commitment to Mexico and its leadership in the aerospace industry.
Safran Aircraft Engines, a global leader in the manufacture of aeronautical engines, inaugurated a new assembly line at its plant in Querétaro, Mexico, as part of an ambitious expansion. The event was chaired by Alejandro Cardona Seemann, President of Safran Mexico, and Marcial Suárez, General Manager of the plant, together with important personalities such as Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy; Marco del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development of the State of Querétaro; and Delphine Borione, Ambassador of France in Mexico.
The CFM LEAP engine, one of the most successful on the market, will be the protagonist of this new stage, with the final assembly of fans and turbines. This expansion will generate 150 new jobs, bringing Safran Aircraft Engines Mexico (SAEM) to a total of 650 employees and an infrastructure of 26,000 square meters, including an additional 4,300 meters of operating space.

In addition, the plant in Querétaro is consolidated as the first final assembly site for engines for single-aisle commercial aircraft in Mexico, a milestone in the industry that reinforces Mexico's strategic position in the global aeronautical supply chain.

Jean-Paul Alary, CEO of Safran Aircraft Engines, highlighted the importance of this expansion at the Farnborough Airshow: “Mexico will position itself among the few countries capable of covering the entire engine life cycle, from parts manufacturing to maintenance and testing.”

With more than 34 years of operation in Mexico and nearly 14,000 employees in 18 facilities, Safran continues to consolidate its position as the main employer in the Mexican aerospace industry. The new assembly line in Querétaro not only strengthens the company's production capacity, but also the competitiveness and future of the aerospace industry in the region.

Why the French set the plant in Mexico? simple we do respect IP and we do not ask tech transfers we are suppliers by true capitalistic policies.

China remains behind in areas the West has noy allowed tech transfers like Jet engines and Chip design

Some joked, “It’s like a father giving birth to a son, but the son ends up giving birth to the father—that’s a first!” Others weren’t as kind, with one blogger bluntly stating, “The Mate70’s design is absolutely horrendous.” Critics added, “It’s all about copying appearances without focusing on core functionality. A company doing this is just about surface-level gimmicks, not real innovation.”

China's first large-scale production line for civil aviation tires has been completed and put into operation in Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Xinhua News Agency reported on Monday.

According to manufacturer Sinochem Holdings, the production facility has an annual production capacity of 100,000 aviation tires, which can fulfill 40 percent of annual demand for civil aviation tires in China.

The production line covers nearly 50,000 square meters and is installed with more than 80 high-end machines to produce aviation tires from raw materials to finished products.

The plant incorporates smart logistics and robotic applications, leveraging advanced automation and intelligent systems to fully automate the production and monitoring of aviation tires. This approach minimizes human errors and safety risks, significantly enhancing product quality and ensuring the safety of commercial flights, according to Sinochem.

As of the end of 2023, there are more than 4,000 civil aviation transport aircraft in China, which are expected to use over 250,000 tires annually. Sinochem said the new production line will greatly enhance China's capacity to produce aviation tires.

In tandem with the production line, China recently launched the nation's first aviation tire takeoff and landing testing platform, capable of simulating a variety of challenging and complex environments for civil aviation tire research and development, Xinhua reported.

Recently, Sinochem announced the release of 12 specifications of civil aviation tires for six aircraft models, including the C909, A320 and B737. The tires all possess complete independent intellectual property rights and are capable of covering 80 percent of the accessory types used by the domestic civil aviation fleet, Xinhua reported.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - France, Germany and Sweden called on the incoming European Commission on Thursday to ensure the future of battery production in Europe and avoid relying on China to meet its needs for the green transition.

In a paper released ahead of an EU ministers' meeting to discuss EU competitiveness on Thursday, the three EU members said European battery companies faced common challenges of scaling up in a global playing field that was not level.

The EU needs to cut red tape, speed up approval processes, create better routes to funding and markets for new companies in the sector and allocate more EU funding for the battery industry, they said.
"If we are to succeed with the green transition we need to get the European battery sector flying and taking a proper share of the market," Swedish Industry Minister Ebba Busch told reporters before the meeting in Brussels.

The issue is acute for Sweden after Northvolt filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States last week. The Swedish government has repeatedly said it won't invest in Northvolt to save the company, which has been Europe's biggest hope for an electric vehicle battery champion.

Busch said a strong message from Brussels that European battery making had a solid future would increase the chances for Northvolt to secure new capital from other sources.

China has taken a huge lead in powering EVs, controlling 85% of global battery cell production, International Energy Agency data shows. Busch said the European Union needed to learn from its previous reliance on Russian gas and not become dependent again on an economic rival.

"The green transition might end up becoming a Chinese transition in Europe... Just look at solar cell or wind power sector, a lot of that has been taken over by third-country investment," she said.

The new European Commission, which takes over on Dec. 1, plans in its first 100 days to issue an outline of how the bloc can compete economically while meeting its climate targets.

Busch said the three countries behind the paper were calling for improved regulation to promote new projects and conditions to allow companies to scale up.

German state secretary Berhard Kluttig said the EU also needed to look to sources other than China for key raw material inputs.

"There are many options, Australia, Canada and even Europe, we have lithium projects, so it is also important that we focus on these alternative sources for battery materials," he said.

why do not you show impotence China versus Mexico?

14. China

The country with the thirteenth highest reported cases is China, with a prevalence of 47.4. Research has shown that prevalence is increasing with time, and further samples need to be studied to confirm findings. Many males in China seek herbal treatment and medicine instead of the typical Western Treatments. Acupuncture is still a commonly practiced treatment in China. This may be a reason why inaccurate treatment results in an increased prevalence of erectile dysfunction.

This is the third operation this year at Plaza Izazaga 89, in the heart of Mexico City. This Thursday, elements of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Navy and the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), returned to Plaza Mart or Centro Mart, where they seized more than 90,000 Chinese products that the authorities have classified as illegal. “Apocryphal products of Asian origin from the brands Marvel, Sanrio, Disney, Nintendo; among others,” they said in a statement. The Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, confirmed that after these police interventions, he will inform the owners of the application of the domain extinction, a legal figure that strips a person of their assets and passes them into the hands of the Government without compensation. Ebrard also pointed out that it is about protecting the Mexican industry, beyond the relations between the United States and Mexico, in the midst of Trump's tariff threats to Mexico, due to trade with China.

“This is the first of several operations that the Ministry of Economy will carry out throughout the national territory in coordination with the Ministry of the Navy, the National Guard, Profeco, IMPI and SAT, as well as state and municipal government authorities,” said the authorities after the operation on Thursday, in which 50 IMPI inspectors, 42 Navy elements, 100 SSPC elements, 60 elements of the Undersecretariat of Intelligence and Police Investigation and 12 Foreign Trade officials participated, who, until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, had seized around 90,000 products of Asian origin.

Ebrard confirmed, in an interview on RadioFórmula, that it was an operation carried out by order of President Claudia Sheinbaum, and explained the participation of the IMPI, because the products, in addition to not complying with the corresponding labels, are affecting trade in Mexico: “The president told us to get to work on this issue because we have a very large flow that is affecting the footwear industry, the textile industry, the toy industry, and they do not pay any taxes, so now comes the investigation, where it came from, how it came. They must have arrived through Lázaro Cárdenas, through Manzanillo, we assume. It went all the way to the center of Mexico City without documents,” he said.

In addition, the head of the Economy explained that the importance of these operations is to ensure the survival of the industry: “We have to interrupt this flow. There is no industry that survives with that. An important part is the relationship with the United States and another is to protect our industry. This merchandise does not even [have] the labeling, because it cannot be allowed. We are going to go very hard on it,” he concluded. These actions take place right in the middle of Donald Trump’s threats to impose tariffs on Mexico, among other issues, for its handling of migration or its role in the transport of drugs to the United States, but also for accusing it of becoming a route through which Chinese products access its territory without paying high taxes.

Already in the months of March and July of this year, several dozen officials went to Izazaga 89 to carry out other operations in order to close the place for the sale of pirated products. On March 14, at least eight seals of suspension of activities were placed by personnel from the Secretariat of Administration and Finance (SAF) at the entrance of the plaza, with the objective of investigating the sale of illegally imported articles. Only four months after that incident, on July 12, public servants and agents from the Secretariat of Citizen Security arrived at Plaza Mart to close the building again.

The Izazaga corporate has two more plazas on the same street. One at number 38 and another at 151. The one that was closed this Thursday is between the other two and there is no more than a kilometer between them. These others continue to operate normally. Plaza Mart, at number 89, is the largest of the three; the 16 floors have stores that offer clothing, motorcycle helmets, tools, cleaning supplies and security cameras, among others. At Izazaga 38 almost the same items are found, but the building has 12 floors; the third plaza, a few meters from the Juárez Centro Medical Surgical Unit, has a much smaller number of products on its five floors.

China has announced a strategic roadmap for advancing its Beidou positioning and navigation system by 2035, in a move which could have global implications.

The country plans to complete key technology research for the next-generation Beidou system by 2025 and launch three test satellites around 2027, according to the “Beidou Satellite Navigation System Development Plan before 2035,” released by the China Satellite Navigation System Management Office (CNSO) Nov. 28.

The next generation of Beidou system networking satellites will then be launched around 2029. The construction of the next-generation Beidou system will be completed by 2035.

China already has a 30-satellite Beidou system providing positioning, navigation and timing services globally. It features 24 satellites in medium Earth orbits, with eight in each plane, excluding backups. There are three Beidou satellites in inclined geosynchronous orbits and three satellites in geostationary orbits.

The upgraded Beidou system will use satellites in high (likely referring to geosynchronous), medium and low Earth orbits, according to the report.

The new system will provide real-time, high-precision, and highly reliable navigation, positioning, and timing services across Earth and near-Earth spaces, with accuracy ranging from meter-level to decimeter-level, according to state media Global Times.

The system will support user terminals spanning from Earth’s surface to deep space, and integrate with other non-satellite-based navigation and timing technologies.

Beidou, like the U.S. Global Positioning System (GPS) and other systems from Europe and Russia, are used for civilian applications such as driving, aviation, and maritime navigation worldwide, as well as supporting industry, agriculture and finance. They also have military applications through precision-guided munitions, UAVs, and battlefield navigation.

Notably, the system is already widely considered to be superior to the GPS in some areas. GPS’s capabilities are already “substantially inferior to those of China’s Beidou,” according to the National Space-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Advisory Board (PNTAB). While Beidou has unique advantages, such as two-way communication and regional accuracy, GPS still dominates globally in terms of adoption and certain technological benchmarks.

Meanwhile, U.S. efforts to modernize GPS face delays and technical challenges, according to a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report.

An improved, next-generation Beidou could see China far surpass the U.S. and others in PNT capabilities. This could see it become the most favored system, expanding its commercial and economic influence, position China as a provider of global public goods and enhance its soft power, and provide enhanced military capabilities.

This effort aligns with China’s broader national initiative for a Space-Ground Integrated Information Network (SGIIN), which aims to merge communications, remote sensing, navigation, weather forecasting, and other satellite services into a unified system. Beidou’s integration into SGIIN would potentially enhance its utility and further solidify its role in global satellite infrastructure.

China is planning at least two low Earth orbit megaconstellations for communications, and has already built up remote sensing infrastructure in orbit through its Gaofen and Yaogan systems. China launched its first Beidou satellite in October 2000. The final pair of backup Beidou-3 satellites—the 59th and 60th launched during the program—launched on a Long March 3B rocket in September.

This is economic thread, people talk about general data, ranking here, we didn't refer to specific nation.

If every time i posted rankings here, made you post individuals or single cases, i would only think u don't have enough education.

Chinese economic growth is based on general good security environment, this kind of ranking are quite.important.

How do you think @helin Can China do better for.econimc growth?
