You can’t implement the american game plan halfway and then. expect to have results. Cut the manpower sure but at the very least send in the airforce, using Combined Arms Warfare in own territory, etc. The result of this half assing modernizing attempt is causing huge gaps in our poonch rajouri sectors.

For example if a a U.S. SF force gets ambushed they have eyes in the sky via sateliites telling them where the fire is coming from. That’s the very minimum you can do. Else PCs, Balistic helmets.

Sure you need feet on the ground but you are not maximizing the combat capabilities out of them. Get night vision goggles, vehicles with high scoped infrared tracking technology etc. things that are available to the Army and does not require going through the Air Force.

Absolutely. But the indian army and economy has more than enough money. The Indian defense budget isn’t bad (while it can be increased). They didn’t need to cut manpower. They needed to propelry use their funds instead of buying literal jetpacks.

I think Agniveer scheme has a big drawback ..I don't think Indian army is modern army and we don't have technological edge against enemy ..We still rely heavily on jugaad and human power

We do have TA for second line of defence ..Agniveer is army , they are not separate from army which you would use as a meat

TA is a voluntary force but still with insufficient old people. That's why we need young population in large numbers.
