Seems like this toxic relationship between our esteemed member @superpower & beloved genrols is never going to end.
I know team it may not be as easy it seems to me...Still when i hear a 3rd rate economy like pakistan is able well manage their military assets tactically as well as strategically against us than blood boils... Thats it...

Nope, it's a new design altogether.
This missile can be launched from warships, so it's not Agni-P variant
It's LRAshM, a quasi ballistic anti-ship missile. It will feature a hypersonic glide vehicle.
Okay...so it's not an Agni-P because it'll simply be too big for a ship to fire.
Thanks everyone for correcting, I guess I've become too lazy to open links 😏

Anyways, but if it's indeed LRAShM then isn't that also too big for ship based firing?

The height of 14m would be more than double of the draft of Vishakhapatnam; 6.5m

Or did DRDO guys just copy my idea without paying any royalties 🤨
But for Vishakhapatnam it's 17.4m and 6.5m. So the best way to add bigger missile is to simply store them horizontally and erect them before launching.
Goddammit

You are right, with a dia of 1.4m & length of 14m, it looks like a K-4 derivative, not A-1P ,if so then it should have a range of 2000-3000km.

It is yet to be confirmed whether this LRAShM- A Quasi-Ballistic+Terminal Maneuvering like Shaurya
Or Quasi Ballistic+ Mid&Terminal Maneuvering like DF-17
Or Launch into Space unlike Quasi-Ballistic, and then Zoom down with MARV like Agni-P, DF-21 and DF-26.

The tragedy that is Indian defence. I'm sure most if not all these components are locally available. All we need is a system integrator which BEL can be instead of being a partner in a JV.

It's just a MoU that has been signed.
Journalists don't have the required bare minimum IQ needed to differentiate between a MoU and an actual contract.

I know itsy merely an MoU . However my point remains.

We will end up building a local version ourselves
Because Roosies won't be able to deliver the parts
we know why

There's a lot of online discussion, particularly among Americans, suggesting that stealthy subsonic cruise missiles are superior to their supersonic counterparts. The main argument is that the stealthy missiles are nearly invisible to radar. However, this thinking seems outdated, possibly stemming from past encounters with Soviet-era ships that had inferior electronics. It doesn't account for the fact that many Tier-2 navies now, aside from the massive PLAN, deploy advanced GaN AESA radars. Why assume that evading radar will be easy? And aside from radar, what about electro-optical (EO) sensors, which can track sea-skimming missiles by detecting the heat signature? Even stealthy missiles can't completely hide their thermal footprint, unless one assumes EO sensors are ineffective in other countries' systems.

It's just a case of sour grapes, mate.
