If you're targets are systems like s400/s300/hq16 etc etc you will need such large weapon system to counter as we don't have stealth aircraft to perform sead/dead against them we will have to rely on long ranged systems which will obviously be heavy as the ranges they have to engage systems like s400 are quite huge. talking abt rudram 3

If Tejas mk2 can carry rud-2 then rafale can. If they integrate it.

You can integrate you're own radars but the cost for integration testing would be staggering.
That's why they dumped navy's rafales + uttam proposal. And OEM's intentionally charge an army n leg and in many cases they don't even integrate usual weapons let alone radar. Dassault failed as it was next to impossible for them to integrate spice on rafales instead we had to bring there hammer system.

Not getting our mission computer on rafale was a very big mistake I suppose it was too expensive or the import bahadurs didn't bother may be the French weren't allowing anyways had our rafales had indi mission computer it would have been so so better. Right now it's pain in asx to integrate astra, rudram, guided unguided bombs, and hell lot of other weapons. Let's see if France does spice-2000 like drama again I hope it goes well.
It just fuqed up now it can't be un-fuqed.
