Ade lab is in bangalore then what tests are happening in hyderabad? I thought drdo uses hal airport as flight test range and for mk2 we will use chitradurga range. But what is the prototype doing in hyd?

Comparing the ramjet in AKash with the one in BrahMos is like comparing a bi-plane with a Globemaster, and I'm likely understating the difference here.

Tests could be anything like stealth validation or vibration tests
We dont know for sure
But this person got this knowledge from exhibitions and talking to people
And he was the one who uploaded swift video first,quite credible i guess?

He does have a point. BAPL was conceived as a pvt co to cut through all the red tape normally associated the bureaucracy in case of a DPSU. With the coming of BAPL to the fold of the DRDO all the advantages thus accrued on account of being a pvt co goes out of the window. Now it's just another DPSU.

Please remember this is a JV with the Russians controlling 49.5 % stake. We don't know what the inside track is but over the years listening to various commentators on the subject of Indo Russian defence ties apart from reading about the subject , what comes across quite clearly is the fairly acrimonious exchanges behind closed doors.

You could describe it as a typical marriage where eventually things work out after mutual compromises. So we don't really know what kept the project from being realised all this while but I don't think it was a technology problem per se . I've already informed you on what could have been the issue.

Not in the same class, first mmma was supposed to be based on c295.
A smaller turboprop, and mainly was for near coast surveillance, mostly against lurking paki subs.


But beyond platforms, the sensor suite was not as extensive as p8is, along with mmma having secondary transport role, search and rescue, pollution/oil spill detection roles, because it was "mainly pitched to coast guard" .

Sensor suite of MMMA is more advanced than P8i especially it's radar & it comes with a lot of contemporary technologies.

Moreover quantity have it's own quality, 15 MMMA will provide much higher coverage than 6 P8i.

Now entire MMMA project will be put on back burner.
