Operation Flashpoint // ArmA - the original one was such a badass game...i still have a copy preserved in CDs and mods and all hoarded on my hard drive

most modern audience is familiar to current ArmA III but it was ArmA original where it all started, and peaked with mods, DLCs

New Assassin's Creed game allows players to loot the Japanese Imperial Family tombs for armor and use the Chrysanthemum (Emperor's Crest).

Ubisoft (Publisher and Studio) were consulted by a company called Sweet Baby Inc, a company which actively causes your games to become 'woke' trash.

It's not only some woke consultancy forcing a nijjer samurai thing, it's a big conspiracy
> So, when the game was in development, they suddenly started peddling Yasuke, a ghulam of Portuguese traders *and missionaries* in feudal Japan, freed by Oda Nobunaga the feudal lord, who kept him as his 'sword bearer' WAS INDEED A SAMURAI hurr durr type things, going as far as telling how strong he was in japanese freestyle wrestling and 'he received pension from feudal lords MEANS HE A SAMURAI' 🤷‍♂️
> many such information kept flooding over wikipedia articles related to Yasuke, without much actual historical citations from authentic sources
> turns out, majority of these claims were peddled by some British-Yehudi "professor" in some japanese university, who literally ran off back to his country after called out 🤷‍♂️
> matters reached to japanese parliament over everything, they started investigating (but being a western ghulam state they can't do much but protest or just call them out)
> japanese as well as western gamers started calling out developers, who proud themselves with muh "historical accuracy wala fiction" things in these series of games, over all these but called RAYCISTS reee in return
> anyways, serious gamers had made up mind to boycott these things
> game keeps getting delayed again and again as even demo is criticised a lot for inaccuracies like
- it has watermelon lol, a fruit that is not native to japan and even doesn't grow there during spring season
- kinds of japanese bamboo mats shown in it are inaccurate
and other things
> it becomes like a matter of ego for ubisoft, they are also in need for a success and it's do-or-die moment
> game launches anyways, and oh boy, is it a mess
- Shrines and sacred objects in the game are breakable (unlike past games where you can't break religious things and places)
- Yasuke can literally kill any civilian without much repercussions (unlike past games where killing a civilian has penalites)
- Yasuke sleeps with Oda Nobunaga's sister, Oichi, who is considered a matriarchal figure for current Royals there 🤷‍♂️ and in reality she was married second time and already a mother of four daughters during Yasuke's period, she died just after a year Yasuke left japan in some siege by opponents, Imagine disrespecting a figure like that
- even technically, it's a mess on par with recent Star Wars: Outlaws game, where enemy NPCs can't even detect a crawling character in grass lmao, and other broken things

What's most interesting, is, ubisoft guys KNOW they fucked up, that THEY LITERALLY ASKED ASSISTANCE OF CANADIAN CYBERSECURITY BUREAU TO "PROTECT" THEIR DEVELOPERS FROM ANY BACKLASH, AND THEY ARE ACTIVELY REPORTING STREAMERS WHO WANT TO SHOW THE GAME ON THOSE PLATFORM 🤷‍♂️

so yeah, it's not a game, it's a politically motivated-backed conspiracy to startle lots of people
and it is failing, they need at least 10 million copies to be sold to even break-even, but sweet DEI money will perhaps save them, or not, only time will tell for now, but active numbers of players are not even 50K (despite their bold claims on twitter)

Additional content is 10+gb after download, so if your phone can handle it, it's a great MMORPG.

LMAO IT'S NOT EVEN BEEN A FUCKIN' WEEK YET AND UBISOFT IS GETTING INTO SUBSIDIARY PARTNERSHIP WITH TENCENT AFTER LAUNCH OF NIJJER SAMURAI GAME! GOING AS FAR AS PRACTICALLY SHARING THEIR TOP IPs LIKE ASSASSIN'S CREED, FAR CRY, RAINBOW SIX ETC WITH THEM IN THIS NEW SUBSIDARY!

Tencent was already good owner of 10 to 15% shares in Ubisoft, but the CEO family owned 25% and prevented takeover of the company;
but even with recent launch of Assassin's Creed: Shadows, it seems they aren't able to make it profitable over obvious reasons, and now the company's in deep soup - that they have to give 25% stake of their best IPs with Tencent with this new subsidiary company they're forming with them; effectively Tencent's now 25 percent overall stakeholder with parent ubisoft in practice and will be able to have a solid voice in any future decisions regarding operations of the company

> le DEI ESG things are poured into a game company
> they ruin the product with their 'modern message' things
> product fails massively, going as far as taking the company down
> tencent comes in rescue, offering money in return of surrendering some IPs

i seriously wonder if Tencent was among the ones initially supporting and pushing for ESG DEI things, to drive them downhill and eventually emerging as their saviour when they're loosing? or perhaps it's just another case of "do nothing, win" (because your competitor's hubris will pull them down anyways)

anyways, i'm sure it'll also mark with mass layoffs from Ubisoft's side worldwide

iirc siege has been the only money maker for Ubisoft lately. I guess they’re being squeezed dry by Tencent for all their worth

why these guys are making hard for PC gamers to enjoy games , even long awaited indiana jones was too needy in terms of requirements.

Ubisoft is done man. They ran the Assassins creed to ground. All other games went into loss. They are just trying to float the ship.

Just yet another game studio fading into abyss. Long time it was EA and their bullshits. Nowadays DEI and Black baby.

Still remember Cyberpunk requiring insane specs. Only to get released with bugs and screwed up whoever purchased. Just greed to push everyone to buy top spec systems since more profit for other companies.

This is why Fromsoftware is peak, they've released good games back to back, without disappointment
