Rosoboronexport offered India to produce the Su-35 Flanker-E

In a bold new offer aimed at strengthening defense ties, Russia has proposed a production agreement with India to build the Su-35 Flanker-E, one of its most advanced fighter jets. This comes as India’s Air Force gears up for the highly-anticipated bid for 114 Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft [MRFA], a significant investment in the nation’s air defense capabilities.
India’s need for cutting-edge technology and reliable defense manufacturing partnerships is evident, and the Su-35 might just be the game-changer they’re looking for. The offer, reported by Indian media outlets could give India a clear advantage, allowing the country to produce the Su-35 domestically along with its powerful AL-41F engines.

The Su-35, Russia’s multi-role fighter jet, is an engineering marvel, built on the legacy of the Su-27 Flanker family but heavily upgraded to meet the demands of modern warfare. With its highly advanced AL-41F1S engines, the Su-35 offers both supercruise capabilities and thrust vectoring, which make it exceptionally agile in combat, allowing it to maneuver out of difficult situations and gain the upper hand over potential adversaries.

Moreover, Russia has assured India that the existing supply chain for the Su-30MKI can be adapted with only minor investments to accommodate Su-35 production. This promise is particularly attractive to India, as it would allow for rapid scaling of domestic manufacturing, potentially enabling double-digit production rates of the Su-35 each year, thereby bolstering India’s fighter fleet with minimal delay.

Dogfight is a thing of past.
No - its not. the skills translate extremely well to defeating a pitbulled AIM120

Adding onto your statement:

Although "traditional" dogfighting, i.e guns, might not have as much of a chance to happen in modern air warfare, the logical endgame of a BVR fight with both parties shooting their own long sticks and trashing the missiles of the other means that they will either go cold from each other, or they will go banzai

And going banzai means that they will be within WVR. Given the assumption that the fight does not get over by the time that the merge happens, BFM(and ACM - air combat maneuvering - by extension) skills will ensure the fact that the pilots will be able to manage roles and situational awareness since they had practiced this scenario before. The pilot can then focus on more mentally challenging tasks: i.e maintaining an escape window from the fight, keeping track of friendlies and bandits(both near and far), keep track of the shooter, etc and so on

All of this comes under OCA/DCA btw. Red Flag, for example is a massive simulation of these events primarily

Their big rcs is gonna be problem for deep penetration role inside enemy territory.
The fighters in mrfa need to be good at it.
As for dump trucks for missiles and bombs we already have enough su 30mki for that.

usko "deep penetration" words dekhke Pata nahi kya Machta hai, out of context le ja raha tha cheeze ko.

To mai bhi bus poochh hi rha tha... Itna deep penetration chahiye kyu ??

There is no available 5th generation aircraft which have enough deep penetration which people crave here.

Even J-35 couldn't go deep in Iran. So was just wondering how deep penetration you requires.

After Israeli missile, IAF's 'super' Sukhoi-30 to get another major upgrade

Even as the 'Super Sukhoi' programme gathers pace, recently tested upgrades have already boosted SU-30 MKI's capability for suppression or destruction of enemy air defences and ground attacks

The Indian Air Force's (IAF's) Russian-origin Sukhoi-30 MKI frontline heavy combat aircraft are set to receive significant upgrades, including AESA radars, longer-range weapons, and an electronic warfare suite (EWS), to maintain their air combat capability for another 30 years. While the radar and weapons upgrades were announced earlier, the EWS update was revealed recently. Some of these upgrades have already been tested, and progress is being made on others.

In particular, the recently tested or cleared upgrades will enhance the SU-30 MKI's capability for the suppression or destruction of enemy air defences (SEAD/DEAD) and attacking ground targets in heavily defended areas.
