I don't think we will have any problems as we already have big American guns, transport and attack helicopters, guns for the army and I personally hope, more then a hundred F15 exs which will help our pilots transition from them to the AMCA, which is similar in design. I also think Su 57s are better so I am hoping for the best. Dassault is giving our pilots experience on delta wings as we are making a few of them as you know, but In the long run I doubt Dassault's ability to keep us safer then having American and or Russian equipment until our stuff matures enough to stop import and start export.

If a comprehensive upgrade package for the Su-30 MKI is figured out, and repeat orders are made to HAL to increase the fleet numbers, the Su-57 has no business to even be considered. Since it can only be considered as a Su-30 replacement right now. With the assumption that the Rafale is the last import we're going to have, the MKI upgrades are not only urgent, the Su-30 fleet needs to be doubled with the new upgrades. It has no competition in payload and range.​

Yes I agree. The codes are for Lockheed aircraft and not for eagles which won't be heavily monetized. If we want a bang for our buck then eagles and or felons are the best bet. US 4++ aircraft will be for defense only so they won't be monitored like american 5th gen aircraft. The problem here is that the Rafale fleet doesn't have much to boast as one of them was shot. The F15 has a flawless track record, ask Israel, they will swear by then. Boeing will make sure we have no problems while operating the eagle.

C-17. I wish India bought production Line. awe need to make a , Rudram, Rampage Missile Truck out of a Cargo plane with rotary launcher.

I am also increasingly convinced that sufficiently powerful AWACS(> 600 km: keeping it away from Novatar of missiles) combined with another Cargo plane armed with extra long range yet maneuverable AAM's could be the potent way to Saturate enemy airspace and enforce air space denial

If we are willing to foot the bill ($5 billion for the plant alone), US may be amicable to setting up a production line in India. The plant would need a minimum order of 50 birds, to be considered. But we'd be a global supplier of the C-17s and there are many countries that are willing to buy more. Even US itself might buy from our plant.​

We can buy more Chinooks P8I Neptunes MQ9s predator drones and Romeo helicopters.
