But that’s what my point is Army has bought it in base variant so I will see it like that also we have not seen QRFV with upgraded or added armour heck i don’t even know it’s upgradable or not and I don’t see QRFV and Stryker in same category my point being QRFV is not good enough compared to M4 and KAMAZ-53949 and I have provided enough proofs to back that WITHOUT UPGRADES.

my point since the starting is that qrfv is upgradable but its designated as qrf medium due to that requirement
kamaz and m4 are direct imports (with screwdrivergiri) thus shitty requirement list of army didnt come up with it they are made for battle carriers from scratch while qrfv is detuned for cheaper and lighter roles

But that’s why they not inducting it in high numbers cause it does not have high level of protection,while according to alpha defence we have 126 m4 already inducted and they will be helpful in carrying the troops directly on the battlefield.

QRFV is touted as a mine protection vehicle with higher protection underneath rather than sidewise. It's probably built to specifically to fight against Naxals in CG / JH / MH.

Is it still worth 2 cr if we have to upgrade it? On top of that extra armour is extra weight loss of mobility with which it was tested on high altitude all in all waste of money I agree with you most of the time but this time nah we need better vehicles what will you do with a vehicle that can’t even stop 7.62 AP bullets which are getting more and more common with terrorists?just because its indigenous and it’s Tata doesn’t mean we have to buy it or is it some godly equipment is it?

If we remove some protection from underneath and increase on sides, it can fill anti- insurgency roles without losing mobility , or much extra cost.
