Indian Economy

AC technician salary at entry us is 50000 in Canada while for more experienced one is 65000

They can save for a few years and till buy a mustang with little bit of down payment. Why emphasize on luxury cars? because that is associated with wealth.
Which indian blue collar could hope to have such luxuries? With a salary of 7000?
West offers a better vertical than India.

Tho I must say houses are as costly in canada as India.

Blue collar is hand work it has it's own specialty and they earn really really good abroad and let me tell you, In coming days there will be demand of blue collar technicians more than engineers, it's just you need to learn the right trade.

> Exports the most amount of oil to Europe

If they are sourcing so much from India it means our refining costs are way lower even with shipping costs. Will this lead to more reduced costs or some innovation in turning crude Oil to refined products at lower prices? Whatever it is, I hope we make as much hay as possible while the sun is shining. We better use this opportunity to lower our own Oil import bill which is increasing every year.

India's refining capacity is 4th highest on earth. Removing china and Russia we'll be at number 2 after the USA. So, Europe has no option except buying it from us.

Well, we have world's largest single refinery installation - Jamnagar refinery. I think it has been tuned for crude oil from all kinds of different sources: Venezuelan, Russian, Brent, American, Middle eastern etc-etc.

"India should realise that there is no shortcut to industrial sovereignty: investments by India’s corporate sector are needed, especially in research and development."

Why invest in r&d when screwdrivergiri is profitable , many inhouse( here) and external experts too don't want to force corporates to invest in r&d, mistaking r&d for locked money or something which only the developed affluent gora industries can do.
Innovation and r&d is about culture , small innovation and continuous r&d needn't be resource/capital incentive (each as per his means) , it is more about corporate and more broadly about it society's thought process and perception, chalta hai and jugaad won't do . We have to come out of trade dhandoo mentality, where foreign technology is used for manufacturing/ assembling without any further value addition or improvements/innovations on a continuous basis as part of corporate culture.

So business with Bangladesh has resumed? I thought it was on hold after the upheaval and the India out campaign, which threatened the existing Indian investments.

I want to see the Indian diet move away from rice (which is nutritionally garbage) and move towards millet and grain. I believe this will happen in 10 years.
Millet no-one will eat if they have wheat and rice, coz it tastes crap and rice is more nutritionally rich than wheat is.

Senvion India to Double Production Capacity to 2 GW by 2026 with New R&D Investment

Senvion India expands capacity production to two gigawatts (GW) by 2026. This expansion will be supported with an investment of ₹840 crore in research and development.

The Mumbai-based wind energy company is seeking to introduce advanced technologies, as it expands into new international markets, including Saudi Arabia and the European Union.

Chief Executive and Managing Director Amit Kansal informed that Senvion India plans to manufacture 6–8 megawatt (MW) turbines to better meet the competitive demands of the Middle East and European countries.

Launch of First 4 MW Wind Turbine Model

In collaboration with RE Technologies, Senvion India has introduced a 4 MW wind turbine model. The new turbine intends to cater to the demand for renewable energy and drive production capacity towards 2 GW.

HYDERABAD: AM Green, which is part of Hyderabad-based Greenko Group, on Wednesday said it has placed what is touted as India’s largest electrolyser order with John Cockerill Hydrogen for 1.3GW of advanced pressurized alkaline electroyser for its 1-million tonne green ammonia facility at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.

The 1.3 GW of electrolysers will be supplied in two phases of 640MW each for the production of green hydrogen and its subsequent conversion into green ammonia. The Kakinada green ammonia plant is scheduled to start production in the second half of 2026.

As a part of this agreement, John Cockerill and AM Green will also be developing India's largest electrolyser manufacturing plant with a 2 GW per year capacity in Kakinada, contributing to the country's green hydrogen production target under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, AM Green said.
