Indian Navy Developments & Discussions

Speaking as a google-er, but it might be that the antiroll tanks ruptured due to the fire, and while trying to douse out that fire, they pumped enough water to actually destabilize the ship.

These are probably not used in warships. I think they use fin stabilizers only.

It's gone mate
It's one side is completely into the water most of the critical systems would have been damaged including radar and if u look at image mast has hit the concrete ig and completely broken
same happened to ins betwa too after refit its in service again

We don't need external enemies.

When it comes to military incompetence our condition is even worse than iran . At least iranians don't lack balls.

black-pilling nature of Indians needs to be researched on, it's not like indian navy is only navy that loose ships in peace time, look at chinese navy 55 sailors died in this accident, Russians are also in their own league

There is no need to blackpill here bcoz these things are critical every nation go through it
Even USN have experienced fire incidences
Infact Navy is very much particular about it
If I remember they court martialed few officers for ins betwa accident

It's just matter of money ( Cost of salvage and repair, and after repair it's service life etc. and very important condition of ships hull), If Navy determines it's (repairing INS Brahmaputra) reasonable they will do it. Any way she was due for major MIL and Engine replacement soon.

Although I want to give them a benefit of doubt, it has happened way to many times and it keep happening again and again.

There was this post on 4chan from a US navy office who narrated that Indian Navy does it work in a juggad manner. Exposed wires was one of the major nitpick. Could it be this was a electrical mishap that led to fire.

Listing of INS Betwa was due to malfunctioning of the docking blocks IIRC. Too early to speculate on the reasons behind INS Brahmaputra's listing. In the event INS Betwa returned to service ~ 3 years later after the repair , refit & upgradation. INS Brahmaputra too will return to active service.
