Waqf bill will be passed in winter session of parliament as per Amit shah.
Since bhajeepav is likely to lose 3 state election in a row (haryana,mh, j and k) , will it affect passing of the bill?

So here are the numbers :
BhajeePav and alliance holds 120 of 245 seats, with 13 remaining vacant, meaning BhajeePav have 120 of 232.
Of the Vacant ones, 4 belongs to J&K, 1 to WB, 1 to Sikkim, 3 to AP and the rest 4 are all Presidential Nomination.
Rajya Sabha isnt Lok Sabha, where entire parliament is re-composed based on elections. Rajya Sabha has staggered terms, where each year or two a certain # of RS MPs lose their seats and they are filled by the state govt. on a proportionate represenation basis to the Vidhan Sabha ( meaning if ur party has 33% seats in Vidhan Sabha, you get to send 33% of the Rajya Sabha MPs from your state's quota, regardless of whether you won election or came last, and all the seats you send are not in one shot after VS elections, its staggered terms over the next 5 years, etc).

So its fairly complicated a procedure. But taking a quick look, there are no Rajya Sabha seats that are being vacated before the end of this year. Wiki says the next set of Rajya Sabha seat recycling will be in June 2025, with 2 seats from Assam being recycled and then in July about 6 seats of Tamilakkam gets recycled.

So long story short, i am 99% sure if BJP can pass the bill in Lok Sabha, they can pass the bill in Rajya Sabha this winter, even if J&K assembly results in all 4 seats going to Congoons, because 4 Presidential nominations will all be BJP votes and since all the vacant AP seats are also NDA seats, as they are TDP seats, it means worst case scenario, NDA in Rajya Sabha goes from current 120 of 232 to 127 of 245, which is still majority.

No, it seems Centre is disgusted by Muslims now. While it will temper it's actions on a union level, but the way states are going against jihadis, shows a tacit understanding b/w Union and BJP ruled states.

People don't realise that 2024 results have sent shivers down the spine of nationalists & Overton window has shifted to the far right now. Muslims won't have it easy from now on & pushback has started. Things which were being talked about in private 10 yrs ago are being discussed openly. Globally Islam is in retreat & with the coming rise of Bharat it'll shrivel up & die a slow death.

sorry mate.. its mild and warm as it was during ABV or RJB movement. But nothing drastic. Whats for sure is.. we are seeing more bigger street reactions from Malsi. Using WHatsapp groups to quickly assemble and stall any Govt work or call up protest or riot - is becoming a nuisance more and more. No Govt has found a way to quell them. With SC also throwing spanner by halting demolitions - has tied Govt. Just Yesterday I think SC halted Assam Govt evicting illegal settlement on land which was reserved for forest and for Tribals IIRC.

And the SC sits and do nothing while Mamata Banerjee makes threats against Hindus and GOI!!!!! Fuck the SC. It’s time for Biswas to develop balls and start defying SC if Mamata can defy GOI and get away with it. I have completely had it with SC’s anti national and anti Hindu actions.

I have seen many speak such lines while having conversation on Pakistan. I think it all stems from teaching children whitewashed history where certain conquests were merely royal power struggles. If at all we had not hidden horrors of foreign rule beginning especially from Delhi sultanates to partition in India where hindus were subjected to treatment worse than animals these statement would not have come.
Also it is frustrating see to slow progress in changing these textbooks.
Society that forgets history is condemned to repeat it.

Good, everyone on the forum was getting high BP from their unsolicited and unrequited simping for the samudaay vishesh.

If you ask me the OvErToN WiNdOw from the 2024 elections have shifted back to "Kaun Jaat ba?" and "sons of the soil", not the "far right".
There is no pushback except from the other side

Hard disagree. The 'collapse' of 'kaun jaat ba' brand of politics directly coincided with the sustained high growth era of the Indian economy, the start of the so-called 'India story', the rise of the BJP and the 'mainstreaming' of Hindutva. I do not see the trend reversing anytime soon. They (the BJPwallahs) got overconfident and made a series of unforced errors in UP and Maha - the opposition took advantage of it. If they keep up this 'kaun jaat ba' drivel and the BJP ends up losing elections left, right and centre in the coming years then I will agree with you. Else, the sample size is too big (25+ years, to be precise) to conclude otherwise.
