As far as I know, UGC is not a legislative or law enforcement agency. UGC can only issue "guidelines".

i think we should give up on this topic until things get clear , we don't know yet what even the complaint was, it could be a serious one that college admin ignored or could be something mundane which is being exaggerated.

There are very specific social reasons why laws so skewed in favor of women and not men.

None whatsoever as per the constitution except the power to appoint judges , which is being steadily but surely diluted by the SC.

In fact they've now arrogated to themselves the power to appoint candidates to senior positions like the CBI or the CEC & God knows what else.

Behind closed doors & off the record , anything goes.

Constitution was designed in such a way as to keep the judiciary outside the influence of the executive.

The legislature , executive & judiciary all have more or less equal powers by design such that power isn't concentrated in any individual / institution except in an Emergency .

It's known as the system of checks and balances.

Before joining my college in 2016. The previous year (2015) there was an huge riot which resulted in big damages to College hostel. The news hovered around for few days, but hushed down since my college founder is basically connected to former UPA MP T.R Baalu (DMK guy). I believe his son married our founders daugher. Also white washed further by opening an Audiotorium by SRT (Positive PR)

Now the reason for riot. In Chennai, some of the top colleges were basically an boarding school with FS (Floor Supervisor) who are goons who do moral policing of students. Our college does not allow individual trasnsport, students should not carry phones, they should only travel in college buses, we should only wear formal dresses with shoes. Parents who are visiting pupils should also come in formal dresses, otherwise they will hold at entrance itself.

Now coming to the founders, these guys were former politicians right hand guys who become educationist. Eg. Sathyabama University. The founder Jeppiar is an right hand man who used to work with late TN CM M.G. Ramachandran (MGR). Guy is legit rowdy but later on become educationist. So the college runs with this jail theme where boys to girls talking is prohibited.

Our college had an hostel head named Mr.X, basically he is an fit for nothing but sitting here due to him being right hand to our founder. But the guy is more respected than CEO lol. Also handled in Jail fashion. Hostel guys/day scholars getting beaten is common theme. Guy apparently beat an student, student died and but these guy thrown his body in Well and call it suicide. Also the FS were involved.

Threshold hit the storm, students took the charge, beat certain FS to near death condition and Mr. X ran away for his life. Police controlled the situation finally. Lot of this goon FS ran away from that job after 2015.

From 2016 Management grow some balls, let Mr. X handle the hostel only. No beating just call parents ask them to take actions.

I studied from 2016 to 2020. It was calm. After 2020, college autonomous, boom everything is allowed.

I am school going kid studied in college.

While this is the story of TN School colleges

While shit hit the storm in SRM, VIT. There Management do not care about students non academic lives. Drugs, free sex reigns free. When something then Management will try to do damage control. Meanwhile incidents from these big universities were suppressed for decades now.

When I was in class 7th back in 2016, it was a private school in Odisha. We had section system and there was this Physical education teacher, which nobody liked. This guy now was a fucking short tempered insecure manlet ( he was actually like 5ft 5')

he would beat students like crazy for little things like your lines on a non-ruled paper being skewed, not being able to answer viva and used to beat with Anything he got everything from badminton rackets to one of those metal pipe on water filters, one guy actually got some cuts from that pipe but shrugged off. He decided to pick on this kinda introverted guy, for some reason which I don't remember something happened and that student started crying, he was other section so me or none of my friends knew, we just came there another teacher arrived there and this bastard was humiliating that student infront of like a 80 people and he was sobbing pretty bad.

Eventually some student complained about him but he got off free by making up some nonsense about that guy being a drama queen and using phone in school premises excuse . This stuff ends and now entire 7th grade hates this guy.

We get rathayatra holidays and that students goes to puri, comeback next day and now that teacher apparently had given some task to write about muscles in our body . Alot of students including me hadn't written and knew we're getting beaten. Well anyway. That student had written these notes after coming back from rathyatra yesterday night and gave his answer book to teacher but for some reason he starts making up excuses to harras this guy again and claims it's not his notebook, he has written it after coming to school yada yada. He asks some other guy who also didn't wrote those notes to bring those skipping ropes. That guy's refuses he then goes himself gets those and trys to beat the other guy for refusing, now this guy snaps and starts a huge argument with teacher like you don't deserve to be a teacher, you are a disgrace ( it was a semi cuss word in odia context)

this teacher gets furious and Picks up a javelin extention thingy and starts beating the guy mercilessly, he tries to fight back and get some kick on his thighs , guys starts bleeding from his eye lid section but one of Students near him starts yelling "he's hit in eye he's hit in eye" and guy getting beaten starts screaming. Bunch of students in the class storm off to head teacher's cabin. This guy then actually starts spewing out really nasty cusswords at those students ig from his character. Some seniors enter the classroom and pick up the guy bleeding take him to head teacher's cabin by now part of his shirt is smeared in blood. That teacher catches them on the way then starts yelling at seniors who stands actually their ground this time.

Then he says something about one of the guys's character and guy steps forward and gets close to him and says something along the lines of " what did you just said about me repeat that right now" in a angry tone. teacher then try to slap the guy. The senior grab his and yanks him down on ground and starts serving haymaker after haymakers to his back , that teacher then starts screaming for help like " he's going to kill me he's going to kill me" . Guys was actually merciless like holy shit, starts dragging that teacher no floor like a rag. Eventually some other teachers stop the fight, by now that teacher is crying like a bitch ( many of us were laughing under our breath). By this point parents of guy who was bleeding got the news and arrived like 15 mines later. School admin tries to mislead them by saying guy got injured himself while messing with equipment, his parents don't buy the story and all students even tell them directly what happened. Cops get called , parents of the guy who beat the teacher are now threatening legal action if something happens to Their son.

Cops ask us about what happened we told the everything, other students also privately complain about that teacher's behaviour. Whole thing with cops goes on till like 1am in night finally everyone settles. Guy who was bleeding gets assurances that teacher will get expelled, and that happens. Guy who beat was also wrong but since he's like 14 ( class 9th) cops settle that too with parents and they end up paying like 25000 fine to shcool and guy changes school after finishing 9th. Nothing happens after this, school admin goes complete radio silence about this topic and students merely joke about that teacher getting beaten and crying afterwards.

I have got similar stories from a dozen schools in Patna from the 90s & 2000s... and in all cases it was the physical education teacher... PT teachers were really abusive... and most cases ended violently.

In one case that I was part of... yr 2002... class 5th... no teacher in class so students had created fish market... suddenly this PT teacher enters... starts beating everyone with his whistle string which I suppose was made of rubber.

& catches hold of this one guy who wasn't at any fault. Takes a pen puts between his two fingers and presses hard... he cries in pain... half an hour later his palm has this huge red swelling... matter reaches principal and he is sent home

Our Class teacher who knew the background of each student was on leave that day.

So it's 2pm... end time and we come out of school... 2 police jeeps and 20 cops... beating someone mercilessly and principal begging them to stop with folded hands.

Turns out they had dehumanized that PT teacher in full view of public... the boy whom that PT teacher had subjected to physical torture was son of an IAS.

Later he was jailed... & dismissed from school.

iAS or local RJD politician ? i have stories about kids of rjd politicians being dicks in schools, never went to huge controversy bcoz it would ruin politicians' reputation among voter in the area . mostly just cheating in exams and fake referrals. IAS kids won't go to schools where this kind of physical punishments are given. one of our friend's extended family members were implicated in ruby rai scam as proxy answer writers, ended up getting expelled then rejoined around 2018-19 as primary school teacher, this should tell you about how pathetic situation is places like bihar, where this stuff was happening less than 10 years ago.

If college - or society - tried to pre empt such situations from happening in the first place they would be accused of 'moral policing'. They bear full collective responsibility/culpability for these nibba nibbi romances gone wrong tho for not acting appropriately and on time. Strange how this works.
