Does it feel like independent at all? Quotas, castes, non-action of govt at all levels like center and WB, TS or acting with offending groups, religions and in support of them against victims. He gotta watch out for for the action on streets though with UCC, Waqf coming up and plan accordingly.

Atleast, with enough consensus building through JPC etc passing a slightly diluted law should be taken as a win in a coalition govt if achieved with minimal agitation.

You can only take wordsmithing so far. Opponents aren't for anyone other than their own power and wealth, so they will call same black with 100% confidence as white. Again question is if bjp was honest they could have done this in 2.0.....its dead on arrival just like other stunts. Sorry can't fool some of us even if are for bjp and modi any day over congis.

I think the reframing of the Uniform Civil Code as Secular Civil Code is a good idea by Modi. It paints the INDI alliance as supporting conservative Islam when they oppose it.

Will wait to see the bill, this move reeks of not offending a certain community's ire when definition of uniform is absolute while secular isn't.
