Indian Politics and Democracy

The mentality of dehat and uneducated is same throughout the subcontinent. Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, SL. The mindset is same. These savages are uncivilized and no civilization efforts can fix them. Only the state can fix them, but they won't put efforts since they're a big vote bank.

It will send chills down your spine to learn that these dehats form the bulk of our country.
Born into generational poverty and malnutrition, their intellectual ability is almost the same as that of a sloth. They get extremely violent and aggressive in the face of the slightest of slight provocation. One of my former company's new recruit from IIT Bombay was beaten to a pulp in his first day at the job for refusing to pay 500 rs Chanda for their function.

I'm convinced that lifting these people out of their situation requires nothing less than a Chinese-style great leap forward and not democracy.

suggest folks take time to watch this in it's entirety.

so much time is spent on outraging over anecdotes that we rarely talk about larger trends both positive and negative. if one is not clued into larger trends, making sense of current and future events is out of question.

It is getting too much now. The government needs to shed soft approach and take up the hard measures. It needs to show its writ and order large scale anti encroachment drives in areas of illegal migrants in major cities and along railway tracks. Don't know which all properties will be claimed by them in future
