Just because she was loud, possibly drunk too but asking questions to police to act on her case should be molested, assaulted and flashed inside police station ? The concerned police IIC was caught taking bribe earlier even bjp protested it when it was in opposition. Are you sure you want to give benefit of doubt to such a chap? And the videos are being released to slander the victim whereas the videos recorded by victim won't be available as they would have been deleted by those very policemen. Also the police hasn't released cctv footage of the policeman
Yeah. Indians dont get this - there is a difference between clear-cut misbehaving, rude & aggressive entitled bewakofi of maharaj citizens and then there are just drunk/stoned etc. citizens who are not trying to be assholes but are just drunk.
The police is required to make distinction between the two and act accordingly and a policeman is obligated to maintain their end of civility as much as possible, even if some drunk loser is being totally drunk annoying loser to them.
This one thing i will give the white people policemen - they are extremely patient (obviously so with their fellow whitebois, but also with us desis or such), when we are being complete drunk morons and repeating the same thing over and over again or saying something completely inflamatory and moronic.
I once got drunk, got lost, got cut off by cops asking me where i am going and what i was doing when i was drunk-walking home and taking a piss on a building corner in seedy downtown part and i just blurted out 'i am just going home and if i am not too sick by the time i get home, i am gonna fuck my gf silly before i pass out, why you wanna come too or something ?' and he just made a short laugh and walked away, saying 'uhh this is a finable offence sir, but next time coz i never seen ur face here before, ok ?'
Desi cops would straight up fly off the handle at this in 90% cases.
Desi police have attitude of 'nagarik who can make arrest' and often react the same way a random stranger do if you have conversation with them while they are on duty and lack the ' i aint nagarik with arrest card, i am hall monitor with arrest card and must act accordingly' in too many cases.
Spending 1 year in India, i'd say i see competency from like 30% of cops. And since my exp is with bengal, more civilized places like Orissa, Haryana, MP, etc. i expect it'd be in 40-50% zone in this regard.
