Pretty sure these are going to get dumped in India as it's chambered in 40x46mm NATO cartridge.

Also only the Indian order of 6,50,000 AK-203s justifies the economics of undertaking R&D in a weapon with no domestic market and international embargo in most of the NATO cartridge using markets.

- no existing widespread mags like INSAS around which it needed to be designed. Everything has to be done from scratch...still went for inferior mag design.
- the mags of FAL we have long retired had hold hold open feature; this one doesn't.
- it's 2024 and we still don't have ambidextrous selector; let alone charging handle.
- not a single short stroke gas piston gun designed by OFB in its whole history despite manufacturing FALs.
- neither aftermarket for AR-15 in India nor using existing MAGPUL stock...but they still went for extension tube system despite designing the whole stock from ground up.
- one of the most slanted grip angle forcing shooters to "chicken-wing" when everyone else is moving to steeper grip angles.
