And just like that asmi is more comparable to mpx than mpa defender.A TAR-21 is more comparable to AUG, Grot, MDR, FAMAS, VHS-2, SA80 and SAR21 than AR-15
An AR-15 is more comparable to an AK-74, INSAS, CAL, SIG 553 than SIG Sauer 716i.
The first and second are more comparable.
For general Indian market, red dot sights make no sense .
Coz most don't have the capability to actually zero their sights . There are no ranges and even if they manage to find some place they lack the training .
At the end they will be forced to point and shoot , it would just be a waste of money . Good solid irons with tritium night sights would be a lot more ideal .

Gun laws are weird, how come 50AE is not in prohibited bore .There you go

...because it looks cool.
Most of the people here get swayed more by gimmicks than function, because they don't have any real world experience of those functions due to stringent gun laws. So anything that adds more bells and whistles compared to your competition is good.
Because the whole idea of PB is loosely based on the centuries old British law of "if something's used by police/military it's not for civilian" so 9mm (used by forces) becomes PB and 50AE (way more potent than 9mm, but never a standard issue cartridge) becomes a NPBprohibited bore
As an NRI when you return to India then under TR (transfer of residence) you can bring one weapon of permissible bore or type provided you hold a valid license for it. At time the customs they confiscate these weapons and the fun part is they are auctioned off or sold to the politicians and I guess the babus as well for very nominal prices and thats how a connected civilian gets a Desert Eagle in India. There you go

@Ayan Barat What would be the dimensions of the ASMI (not prototype) inducted into service vs an MP9?
Possibly with overlay.
देजा वूDo a comparison with the final production model 2024 for ASMI.
Reminds me of a Lorcin L32 (.32 ACP)Why the heck this thing was not discussed!? This is groundbreaking.
Some 5-6 months ago we got the first polymer framed semi auto pistol from a PSU. Made by Gun & Shell Factory, it's been named Yasashwi - Sanskrit for fame that last for eternity

Chambered in .32ACP it has a high capacity magazine of 10 rounds. It look absolutely gorgeous and can easily compete with international pistols like Glock and SIG Sauer
And by the way yes; that Picatinny rail is totally fake and of absolutely no use, in case someone might be wondering

Glad someone finally mentioned Insas
