Indian Special Forces

Maj Sahani didn't speak ill of Gen Rawat. I didn't agree with a no. of things he said but not this. He said and I quote, "Agar Gen Rawat ne sahi meh modernization ya theatre command ka roadmap banaya hai, toh woh unke panel ke pas hai, aur woh uspe kaam karenge" (Nothing stops for 1 man thats how army or any large org works).

And true to that, Theterisation is v much happening.
yes buddy, you are correct, I apologise for the haste in writing my comment.

What I meant was Maj Sahani showed dismissive attitude towards Gen Rawat, & the tone, mannerisms could have been much better. It takes very hard men to drive change, even more so in conservative organisations like the army.. Gen. Rawat was doing that.. Maj Sahani is right about institutionalized setup of the army, but the same men under command of different men could give very different results.. even these BAT actions take place in areas, where the local commander shows weakness.. so leadership is very important.. therefore, Maj Sahani could have been more respectful of his former chief.

On demise of our late cds there were some retired army officer who were celebrating on social media

I agree with this part.

More than insta you guys should see Facebook and top unit guys posting there.

I guess from the officer to jawan level we have recruited people with no aptitude for SF.

Most of the SF guys are fuckbois and i dont have any problems with them chasing pussy i just feel that until they are in a special unit they should control their hormones or leave the unit.

Anyone can make a fake id and make these low iq recruits loose in half an hour.

Shooting videos at barracks, recording movements and even posing in front of quater guards what have they not done.
I guess this is what you get when you expand "SF" at this pace, you get physical specimens, but with no brains, and questionable "SF" skills.

If good/decent bpj are coming in limited numbers why are they going to reserve formations and not active ones?
This is a good sign.. if new equipment is being issued to formations not committed to ops then it means the equipment is coming in in decent quantities.
Although, given the IA's track record in procurement, I would say this is just photo ops, as the army has in the past been properly abused for the poor equipment.

Most of the red collars only pressurise for god knows what reasons and get young officers killed.

There's a book written on the 1971 war by a Sikh ex-officer(I forget the name) who stresses in the book, how his CO giving him an ultimatum to attack a Pakistani defended position without decent RECCE costed him more than one of his companies(120+ men!)

Because Northern Command has already procured a lot of BPJs, PCs & Optics since 2017 with their emergency funds. Frontline Infantry & RR Battalions have undergone multiple rounds of modernisation which you can notice in those News Channel LOC/LAC Segments. In limited numbers of course but Frontline Ghatak Platoons are almost as well equipped as SF Battalions when it comes to New PCs, Headgear & Electro-Optics. But most reserve infantrymen still have fibreglass Helmets, 4 Mag Pouch vests & INSAS. So it's a good move to equip reserves simultaneously in phases.
