Indian Special Forces

What is that rope tied to the tigger guard on the tavor? Is that supposed to be a sling?
The sling is to attach the first mag to the grip/trigger-guard, first magazine is always misplaced after the first volley of fire. The sling is to keep it with the shoot so its not lost...:D

without proper optics , 5000 or 10000 bullets won't matter. you are just aiming at trees. probably that's what happened here. not a single hit to tango..
Pretty sure there were injured soldiers in the truck who were firing back so they were probably firing in the direction of the fire in return.

P.S- shivendra Singh sir was right we are seeing a big cultural change in Paras in last few years regarding their fitness and gym schedule
Late 90s/Post 2000 generation. Familiar with GWOT/iraq/syria Grew up watching Hollywood movies. Know enough about SEAL team 6 and SAS/delta.. familiar with American and western SOF and their fitness standards unlike older gens who probably didn't even knew anything more than just gun and mission

Several Officers always have been this way as explained by Major Sapru in multiple podcasts. It's the enlisted folks who are getting an Idea of what SOF in the rest of the world looks like. Hollywood propaganda isn't their only source, a good chunk of senior officers from certain units have been observers in Iraq, Syria and have monitored JSOC operations up close. Lt Col Megh Singh ne aise hi thodi raise kiya tha Meghdoot Force ko !

60s/70s and 80s were good but it's the 90s and GWOT which really defined modern SOF.. that's where we lost the touch and got left way way behind the modern SOPs, tactics, equipment.. good that we are catching up slowly starting with basics like helmet/ PCs

Yes. Just to add to it - Current AFSOD commander has been a direct observer of JSOC operations in Iraq during the late 2010s.
