Indian Special Forces

The Gun truck concept originated in Vietnam and was used effectively in Iraq. Definitely could be a stop gap measure for us.
It's an extremely capable solution..

But reminds me of something I heard Nick Moran say once.

Did the troops in Iraq remember that such a solution had worked in Vietnam and thus brought it back or did someone spend a lot of his brains to reinvent the wheel.

And that question is something that I wonder if the IA loses any sleep over

In almost every war Gun Trucks are born as a desperate attempt to protect convoys from ambushes . It sure works but is seldom kept around for long after any war . WW2 , korean war , Vietnam and gulf war all had some concept of gun trucks .
The Viet war gun trucks and the Iraq war gun trucks were pretty similar , may be the experience helped .

In just 3 months from the time they faced the first ambush from rebels they had their first gun truck up and running .
The main problem we face is gov, officials and men on ground being on the same page . As such heavily armed trucks responding with decimating fire will be wonderful for us but for higherups it will look like they have failed in regulating militancy and for gov it will look like HR violations and that JK is not under control contrary to what it is advertised .
Only a strong autocratic leader who calls a spade a spade can fix this mess now .

Although I would love them to be replaced, this setup will/has work ( just replace the peq with dbal.)
Yeah 9 para seems to prefer their decades old m4s with comp red dot/thermo over muh CQB king bullpup (tavors)

Crd- based sigma on TG
The way he is holding the rifle is very rare to see in India also wasn’t 10 training with Hari sir?or was it 11

What is that rope tied to the tigger guard on the tavor? Is that supposed to be a sling?
The sling is to attach the first mag to the grip/trigger-guard, first magazine is always misplaced after the first volley of fire. The sling is to keep it with the shoot so its not lost...:D
