SF units no longer enjoy the advantage they used to .......... in conventional warfare .

Imagine just infiltrating and meeting up in the assembly area just to get one shoted by a drone .
scary shit bhai scary fucking shit

Do you guys think fpv drones will be ever used by insurgents in Kashmir ? like three-four years from now ?

Pretty sure they will ,

They need some sort of justification first (for their propoganda like they did for mutilation), as we start widely using armed drones they will too .

SF will adapt. Thermal camo, counter-intel, heightened awareness, compact electronic disruptor kits. Ops will become slower before they speed up again, more elaborate with diverse assets. But as far as meeting an unconventional objective goes, SF will continue to have an advantage. Enemy recon can't scout 24/7 across all of the real estate hoping for a signature to show up.

Yup, SF or SF type units will continue to play a significant role as long as humanity wages war/exist.

is this actual footage or made up for representational purposes. somebody give something.
Real footage from Ukraine! Those troops weren't SF but an improvised MLRS team.

Idk....an old school concept maybe, to take out a sentry quietly perhaps
Even the SAS had it in the 1980s but it's use faded out by the end of the decade, I guess our guys took it from there and continued using it untill they realized it's stupid

Bro iirc we had seen the pic of crossbows very recently posted in DFI. Don’t know whether it was Para or Marco i had seen the pic of crossbow in the last couple of years.
Btw was it true that the arrow tips had cyanide or just a myth

Even the daggers used in Kargil had cyanide and all type of drugs/medicine support was used to fight in Kargil.

MARCOS did use them in Sri Lanka...cynaide tip arrows. And Paras might still be using them perhaps in NE

No matter how many podcasts they make to hunt talent, the policy makers, the real planners will be from UPSC, NDA, CDS, or some handful lateral intakes only.
“With so many podcasts there has come a time that people have started lying by adding mirch masala to their achievements”

(A retired fauji)

Commonly known as the Seal effect, listening to SEAL podcast nowadays has become weird don't know what's right what's wrong everyone gets exposed in a couple of years by some other operator and we end up movies like American sniper
India me bhi hoga..i was surprised when i got to know.

Ofc hoga humans don't change, that's why I really enjoy the professionalism and environment SAS has although they also have their issues no one's perfect but I appreciate their approach better than their counterparts.
