How many freaking YEARS have the ‘Gucci gang’ been saying this?
It is SOP to stop operations when it gets dark and you wonder how so many terrorists get away?
Americans take pride in ‘owning the night’, this is a relatively low cost option in 2025
Imagine these jokers going against a peer force that has even rudimentary night vision, it will be like shooting fish in the barrel for them
Lack of nvg is definitely a problem but I believe training in nvg is bigger problemJust pointing this out, NVGs alone would decrease our casualties by 50% and increase enemy attrition by 50%. But don’t suggest that to low IQ joker generals
it’s not a time thing but mentality, they’ve got soft and bloated from peacetime, their human capital has degraded in quality with time and their civilian leaders are clueless or will hide behind jai ho

Someone needs to give such an a$$ whooping that it can’t be covered up like all the other debacles
I just feel like going to Manesar and asking then what have you learnt in terms of skill after 26/11.no but this is what happens when you classify your 'elite' unit into phantom, superman, he-man categories. Cant belive we dont standardize training and just act stupidly here and there
Fuck this army
Our own army realesed a drone footage with a dead body visible in it from the sopore encounter site (no terrorists killed, so it is probably our guy)
for Para maybe, but MARCOS I've heard were perfoming amazing after that in KashmirAfter 1995 to be precise
yes, those SG veterans were all Para CdosWeren't the initial NSG formed by SG veterans ?
bottom up change is impossible in a country like ours and top bottom works only when those at the top are sensible. I have no idea why we refuse to learn, refuse to change. Excuse after excuse after excuseI just feel like going to Manesar and asking then what have you learnt in terms of skill after 26/11.
Bcoz after seeing 166 Indians dead you had a great excuse.
Whats it going to be the next time?
They didn't release it after the op, it was released mid op and thought that body was of a terrorist but then they retrieved and identified.Wait for a retired officer to come to the rescue with emotional reasons.
Ya..Gave me the impression they withdrew and put a drone to see whats going on.They didn't release it after the op, it was released mid op and thought that body was of a terrorist but then they retrieved and identified.
RIP
Agreed but can be used for maintaining the cordon at night, they usually escape by first light while being surrounded. Maybe Don't use them to close in but would provide better view to maintain cordonLook , it's sad but nvg are not effective in that terrain .
Yall think like in Call of Duty you can just put on nods and go around , it's not that easy in reality . Just after seeing some photo ops and Hollywood movies you form an opinion.
We have enough nvgs we use it as per ops requirement not for showoff how some ssb rejects want
You are right coz we are using a tech the US used for Op Desert Storm.Look , it's sad but nvg are not effective in that terrain .

Have you ever even touched a gun forget about nvgs
Pvs14 and thermal bridgeed together as binocularLook , it's sad but nvg are not effective in that terrain .

Don't know if this has any flaw just came to my mind reading your post. Please correct if wrong

Forget US evn the Ukrainians are merging the NVG and Thermal.
Its called application of your resources which we dont do!
Are yaar majak kar raha tha .Pvs14 and thermal bridgeed together as binocular
Guaranteed that thermal(spartan s) will have to keep up with pvs 14 but still it would be op set up for kashmir
I doubt if they are receiving proper training for nvgAre yaar majak kar raha tha .
Even basic monocular will have been useful , ghatak units have achieved squad wipe wile running older BEL craps .
Also a major issue is that they are not really trained to use them properly, have seen them put them on wrong.
Also in such scenarios they need to engage under nods which they clearly are not Train Ed and equipped for not use it as a navigation aid .
In such scenarios engagement break out in an instant, we have no time to remove the nods and then aim
Lack of nvg is definitely a problem but I believe training in nvg is bigger problem
Og sf team have pvs 14 and they will receive pvs 31 in future
With proper training seasoned operator is just as lethal as he is with pvs 14 or pvs 31
