How bad/good is it? Those jacket types are pure shit but the new one looks better (not armasen level but still)

Looks like some infantry units have purchased them.

Look , it's sad but nvg are not effective in that terrain .
Yall think like in Call of Duty you can just put on nods and go around , it's not that easy in reality . Just after seeing some photo ops and Hollywood movies you form an opinion.

We have enough nvgs we use it as per ops requirement not for showoff how some ssb rejects want.

Low ready trigger discipline or indexing behind the trigger, is on point.

These guys are our only remaining hope as of now.

I keep saying it but having ‘new’ kit isn’t enough, they only have the basics but clearly don’t have the employment tactics to go with it

Where are the med packs? The chem-lights? The IR strobes? The drop bags? The flash bangs? The don’t even look like they have side arms here

Oh but but this is just training we have seen some of this before, well why doesn’t a professional freaking force consider these things standard?

Frankly I’ve never seen an Indian unit even close to what ASEAN SOF are now forget Tier 3 in the US, Tier 1/2 are another galaxy and I doubt India will ever get on par

I think you are confusing it with Olive planet pc and some of them just use unit tailored pc

That ma durga one was just seen a months back so don't think any recent bulk orders of them by SF

Where are the med packs? The chem-lights? The IR strobes? The drop bags? The flash bangs? The don’t even look like they have side arms here

IA level thinking is to wait until the enemy gets an upper hand then run around for emergency/‘fast track’ procurements

I was genuinely hoping some more night fighting equipment was going to make it from Afghan to Kashmir to force these big brains to wake up but it seems the Pak army has hoovered a lot of it up


Just don’t worry everyone, at least the IA is setting benchmarks to be world class….

+ we will see the old camo till the ordnance factory inventory runs out of the old stock. GOI instructions have asked them to use them all before switching.

And I think another change is required, not in terms of camo but just don't think them of as 'Uniform' but as combat clothing with features like gearsmith clothing

In that too their admins forget to blur the name tag

Also no control over guys like wolfdevilbajwa, no dedicated team to spot such people both ours and the enemy chapri soldiers while other countries have such teams.

What you're stating is right, I agree with you. We all are frustrated with the current state of our special forces compared to the rest of the world.

I have said this before and I will say it again, In case of MARCOS there is still a lot of room for improvement. But, they are the only force which have shown significant improvement in the last few years.

I can't and won't advocate for thier tactics and equipment profiling, there is still a long way to go.

There are making mistakes but, atleast they are open to learning and adopting tactics and equipments, unlike other SFs which are still stuck in 90s.

It doesn’t make it any less valid to point out their weaknesses. Being less sh!t than paras isn’t hard, they are not there to look good on Reddit but do a job.

Poor tactics and poor skills is going to leave them messed up and the mission failed
