Which is good thing. I mean thats why I feel SSS is company to look for. This is exactly how mil industrial synergy should look like. Take development inputs from the professionals themselves. Hope good pay is given to them so that... more operators look fwd to join industry after retirement. This shall eventually lead to inflexion point where Army shall be using weapons designed at home, based in enough veteran feedback.

Woh toh siraf PC hai ! baaki sab std issue aur unit issued hai. @Arad Operator once mentioned long back that SMPP will probably be the std issue for the para regiment. BTWs this is how most of the unit looks like while operating in and around valley -

Currently, from my personal observation, the focus is on getting all of the new optics, I² and TI/comms/uav shit into CI-CT ops before the new standard PPE.

I'll wait. I've been hearing things will change for long but have seen very little effect on real ground. They've got a long way to go - decade of changes in almost everything to catch up with. Let's see.

I think he’s already mentioned it in the video, a lot of their testing people and others are ex-Para SF so they like to play around with the stuff.

COAS was speaking at a news company's conclave, if I remember correctly. Although, the COAS didn't take SSS's name, it was clear which company he was referring to.. in fact a high level executive of SSS even clarified on X, about COAS's remarks, when people speculated that the remarks referred to SSS... therefore, making it clear that it was SSS.

Well, I don't recall the words verbatim, but it had something to do with small arms, their barrels, where/how they are made ( ans - not in India)... the COAS sounded pretty genuine.
And, it is not as if no Indian defense start-ups are getting orders.. they are.. albeit small ones... these SSS folks seem to be cry babies almost forcing the army to buy their products... &, I have not seen other defense pvt sector players hype themselves up like these sss guys.. that is why i don't feel sss are genuine.
