Indian Special Forces

Does somebody know how good is this company SSS defence ? sometime back a person none other than the COAS publicly "exposed" them.
any user reviews of their weapons ?

They sure seem to have a lot of money for marketing.. do they put similar effort in their products ?
to me they all air, and no substance.. though, in interest of indigenisation, i do hope am wrong.

It voids the warranty of the weapon. Some units enforce strict rules, some just don't give AF and paint they rifles for specific terrain

Yes Units have a varying degree of strictness on this. Some CRPF COBRA units used to not be allowed to take their Tavor's outside their base for operations.

Almost ALL units are not allowed to get gunsmiths to tinker with the triggers etc

Units that have issues with the painting get cloth camo coverings

When did this happen? Any link?
COAS was speaking at a news company's conclave, if I remember correctly. Although, the COAS didn't take SSS's name, it was clear which company he was referring to.. in fact a high level executive of SSS even clarified on X, about COAS's remarks, when people speculated that the remarks referred to SSS... therefore, making it clear that it was SSS.

Thanks. Can you tell me the context. Given recent utterings of ACM against LCA - makes me wonder if criticism was in same vein?

These guys have a lot of Ex Para guys
Which is good thing. I mean thats why I feel SSS is company to look for. This is exactly how mil industrial synergy should look like. Take development inputs from the professionals themselves. Hope good pay is given to them so that... more operators look fwd to join industry after retirement. This shall eventually lead to inflexion point where Army shall be using weapons designed at home, based in enough veteran feedback.
