Naval SF are usually well built probably because of this

Also I discussed it earlier in the old Forum, that Naval SF (for example in diving school) are fed high amts of calories because operating in water is very very difficult. If you're already lean and survive on little diet then you go do endurance swimming. All the best to you. But you see, MARCOS are not always operating in water, they do other activities too. There's lots of climbing involved as well so they need good upper body. They have a really good diet. Operators serve in Kashmir for 6 months only while Para guys spend years in there.

We used to make fun of Garuds doing this drill, I guess it's not that bad considering we got a former JSOC operator (RRC) who also worked alongside CIA's Omega teams doing this and explaining in the caption what's going on here. I think what we lack from our guys is reason. They never tell why we're doing what we're doing. Just trusting the process doesnt work. Watch this, it is really usefull imo

it's common as a mark of respect that Balidan is given to those non-SF guys who have operated alongside SF and the SF guys had great deal of respect for them
One notable case is this

Naik Digendra Kumar who was a diver at NSG but never did probation for SF, he was given the Balidan because he helped save a big number of guys from 10 Para who were held by the LTTE, that op was also quite darring.
"36 soldiers of the 10th Parachute Regiment were captured and held by the LTTE. Lt. Gen. A.S. Kalkat assigned the task of freeing them to Kumar. Kumar took with him 50 kg ammunition and some biscuits and sailed up the river. Kumar saved the soldiers (who had been held in the forest for 72 hours), destroyed an important ammunition depot, and killed 39 militants"
No no, he was in 10SF for 2.5yrs... CD badge isn't given as a mark or respect and even Balidan is earned through probation only, no other way to earn it!

Also generally Naval SFs are better physically .... they are better feed and have steady access to gyms ,
As they operate from ships or from bigger bases .
While army SFs operate from anywhere from huge bases to small shanky FOBs.

I did'nt say that he was given a CD badge as a mark of respect, I said he was a diver at NSG.

Bro saved his career...

He was locked in quater guard for killing Lankan MLA who was supporting LTTE..

Bro took the responsibility of carrying ammo..

Made contact with 10 para..

And then bro started aggressive attack on LTTE position..

10 para guys from Rajasthan from the same region and language started abusing Digender saying...tu maryane aaya he

Bro killed many with head shot

Outspoken or not..excellent soldier minus his mouth.

this goes for Teotia even more so, I do not denny that he was an amazing operator but he just never came out of the victim mindset, I read his book and I am more convinced that first it's an articulation porblem, there's a clear class distinction I am sorry to say that. Secondly no one in this country gives a fuck about anything beyond their paygrade, typical of a third world. Thirdly, we resent each other alot here, either our guys act complete simpletons or go around macho.
