Not sure about the Ammeirican soldier. Could be a ranger, GB, or MARSOC.

My 2 bit on this -> The weapon is DD mk18. GB are using a lot of M4 URGI 14 & 11 inch upper, and ranger units and Marsoc have very strict uniform rules.

At this point, MARCOS is just clowning on every other "SF" in India. Someone needs to identify whoever is responsible for this impeccable work and get them to modernize the Army SF, AF SF and NSG. (If only we had that strategic dexterity)

Marcos and para SF modernization was decided by a joint staff committee if I remember it correctly, they have got the same boxes to check (with some service specific equipment). Marcos are enjoying more since they have an Integrated HQ in MoD that directly overlooks this matter and speeds up procurement. To add to it, Marcos are very few in numbers.

The only extra (great) thing that Marcos is doing is taking contemporary standard CQB&MOUT training from experienced instructors.
Para units are also trying this but most of their hired instructors are Desi guys with 2000s Era techniques learnt in some middle eastern country.

In any profession in the end the Gentlemen who standouts are always well educated and have a better aptitude.

Navy by far has the best as far as i have interacted with.

Thatswhy that education is showing up.

Cant even tell you how many CO ranks Navy retired officers i have met who are part of think tanks or write articles..

Can you imagine the same for a Army Colonel or AF officer to do..Rare i would say..Very Rare.
