This mindset is one of the factors our Armed Forces is what it is today as far as small arms is concerned...

Let the forces buy what it finds suitable and meets the QRs? No!!

Force em to buy things that they don't want or the thing doesn't meet the QRs? Hell Yeah!!

Prime Example:- Our beloved INSAS ak Indian Small Arms System.

The Armed Forces themselves don't know what they want, that's why they are stuck using three different kind of calibres which don't even make sense

And as a system for it's time there was nothing wrong with the INSAS, it was the terrible machining and quality control of OFB that made the army hate it, if we had constantly worked and refined the INSAS we would have had a decently modern 5.56 rifle, could have also led to experimenting with short stroke pistons or non reciprocating charging handles.

You can't expect SSS to perfect their rifles if you don't place atleast a small order of the P-72/M-72, let the army get their hands on the weapon, give some feedback and let SSS refine it, other configs can also trickle down to the infantry.

The Indian Army is night handicapped.

As a result the complete dominance in a fight is not assured.

IAF reality check is already there.

The kind of jumlebaazi politicians do…if the Army is pumped and sent..expected casualties can be in tens and hundreds.

Find the Mid Level TRT/LET leadership working inside Kashmir. Take them down. Followed by High level leader residing in Pakistan needs to be killed. Within few months. Also do the same kill Choinese in Baloch region.

No one would even dare believe there’s some super elite unit somewhere spooling up to go hunting tonight

A tactical QRT (sorry SF) team walking into a daylight ambush and being wiped out is the most likely outcome now

If India had SFs it would present the senior most leadership (who are most responsible for this tragedy) options to retaliate at least instead Paras are performing close protection duties for low level generals, MARCOs are doing VBSS and Garuds are protecting airbases
