Army top brass can't able to fix an Infantry. Expecting them to fix Special Forces is too much. We already seen the opposite of this by making an Airborne infantry into Special Forces and destroyed the concept of Speical Forces itself.

No dedicated office to define Men and machines. Each of them buy from Amazon, Flipakart, Ali Express, India mart, CSD of different brands.

Can't have tools to fight in Night. Does not have aerial support to provide some sort of ISR, Fire power.

Top of that we have that iconic R-Day jump.

It’s not just the infantry that’s in dire state..this applies to other branches too. That said, things still run because the foundation of the Indian Army is solid. Imagine being a massive peninsular nation with islands to spare, sitting on the busiest shipping route in the world, and not having Marine infantry.

There are only 4x LSTs and 6x LCUs in service, not including that US Hippo because it's only to be used for HADR as per the ((( contract ))) under which it was purchased.

Till they actually get LHDs and LCAC type vehicles to deploy troops better they not take an additional and unnecessary expense of paying salaries and pensions for "marines"

This is what superior logistics looks like
They consume bisleri or any sort of mineral water bcoz they can maintain its logistics thus saving operators from unnecessary and avoidable health issues thus increasing productivity

We guys would be happy if we see ours boys with MRE with adequate protein and carbs instead of sukhi poori or roti with watery dal

Let me also be brutally honest now..

After 71 the Army pretty much started loosing its edge.The primary reason for such was the degradation in officer quality in every decade.

The standards the British officers kept have long perished and JI Hazorri has become prevalent.

Sri Lanka was a massacre of Indian Army..SF got thrashed left right and centre..10 Para in particular if i am not mistaken paid a very heavy price.

Then came the disaster of Kargil…Army had no idea about infiltration..The shephard was treated very badly in the initial days coz Army thought he is crazy and disnt waste efforts in verifying his claims.

Meanwhile the Army was busy in making a ZOO.

Then coming to Kashmir…40 years since the conflict…what have we invented?..Which tactics has Indian Army evolved…Most soldiers cant even do drills without taking the finger off trigger and flaghing their buddies.

Since 2021 SF is getting targeted..Whats the counter strategy?

All airborne battalions are made SF without any resources and No New Airborne battalions are raised…Shows us how genius our Generals are.

Was there any option other than human wave tactics followed by arty bombardment in kargil? Airforce attacks by fighters and choppers had its own limitations plus they were called late .9 para lost 4 or 6 men in a single raid in Zulu against 13 paki men.Was use of SF against such targets justified?where SF were used for ops that were deemed difficult for infantry through frontal attacks?

Bashing US for drinking Bisleri, burger king is pure copium. US Soldiers fought in Afghanistan from their home which is 10000KM away. They have logistical capability to sustain such a war at extreme places.

On the other hand we are talking about whether we can survive an two front war for an week. Genrols were talking like this because majority of janata lap them as it is. Even Reporters were not ready to ask tough question or grill them simply.

I will be happy if Indian Special forces really do the special force ops, not this jai ho hunting in some Jammu forest and getting ambushed since you do not have Night vision, SDR, Thermal, good armor.

Even Today we have regions where our Special Ops is required, Pakistan where you have your top most wanted guys, our presence is required inside Tibet region to monitor Chinese activity, in Burma to handle the insurgency, In bangbros to deal with Jamats, In Afghanistan to deal with Pakis and also with Talibans for getting valuable resources.

Instead we are here sitting inside own territory and getting ratioed by some rag tag jihadis.

It's sarcasm. Even puny US infantry guy might be carrying a filter straw in his kit. In modern times there might be no reason to directly drink such water.
