They did constantly trained with american sof for few years now.
Heck their new gear is direct result of that.

MARCOS usually is seen with Foriegn Ex in Multinational Ex - APAC/AFrica etc
We have done these ex with Asian Countries, South Africa, South American Countries - these Ex are usually diplomatic in nature - value accretion is low.

MARCOS has done jt ex with the SEALS ( like ex Sangam) and USMC on a handful of ocassions - again few days / 1 week type durations - more Diplomatic / FID in nature to build "interoperability"

They dont really provide the "upskilling" you seem to hinting at. - Unless you have other info?

At best its Exposure - and IMO the higher educated Officer Cadre see the value of the new PPE etc and since their budget outflow requirements are low its easy to do.

NOTE - alot of Indian Naval Ships (and by default the Ship Command) spend time on foriegn shores and have been getting exposed to their Global Counterparts. Alot of MARCOS forward movement can be chalked up to that as well.

The Exposure is through the (extremely) narrow lense of VBSS and Waterborne intrediction Ops during Multinational Ex. The Tactics they are being exposed to will be abinitio.

The upgrade in kit i will lay down on 2 things

1. More/better educated/Exposed Officer cadre - across Naval Command
2. Small size of MARCOS - lower percapita spend - faster standardization.

About Naval officers..

Well educated and keep rotation which helps them be grounded.

Secondly,technical officers like myself who know what technology can bring and not shy away from systems and upgrading.

Like it or not a non science background guy will never like getting in the nuts and bolts of things.

Education is very important.

People say civilians and larpers are irrelevant for the military , and then i remember that most of the refinements in sniping and precision shooting came out of civilian competitive long range shooters . Be it in gear technique or caliber .

Those civilians are not some ordinary joe, they are professionals in their respective hyper competetive fields like precision shooting, MMA, professional pilots, drivers, skydivers, explosive engineers etc.

I bought myself a K-zero chinese clone a year ago, put it through some rugged handling and it still holds very well. Some airsoft gear are quite good for their price. Even my G3 pants really haven't torn apart and the stitching is quite sturdy. The only chinese clone that did have the the "chinesium" characteristics was a super cheap LBT plate carrier (my first one) whose stitching came apart and the metal parts getting rusty.

Somogear NGALs also have been tested and they perform quite well for an airsoft LAM. Comtac clones don't have a good rep except some brands like tac-sky or earmor. Tac-sky has cheap comtacs and they hold really well for their price.

Optics I have no clue but most are really good for non-nvg use but I haven't seen one that'd work good under nods.

Tons of replicas out there of every real life gear, and most are good tbh.

I'm just a college student, I'm probably really young compared to rest of you folks. Only defence related thing I have is that my parents both were in the armed forces. But yeah I'm an exception when it comes to officer brats, considering my opinions on our SF and overall condition of IA

I just saved up enough money to get gear. Also helps my family lives in the rural side, has plenty of land of our own to larp in.

Marcos are a cosmetically enhanced version of the same capabilities.

Most people dont know here what Marcos are capable of is everything related to water.

Marcos cant win you wars in deserts,high mountains and jungles.

Even Marcos dont have a good sniper course.

Marcos definitely have better quality officers.
