Indian Special Forces

But are u talking of an era of chechen war and comparing poor paki punjabi muslims with fighters like chechen?
Many Chechen forces were trained by Spetsnaz veterans themselves...in the initial days of the war, the Russian SFs faced casualties as their tactics were compromised and had to reinvent themselves.
The Russian infantry wasn't very effective (even today). That dumps a heavy load on the Spetsnaza and VDV boys to pick up the slack.

Create a SF regiment(including tier 1,2,3)
Maintain a separate Airborne Division(it is expensive but manageable)

SG under RAW as it is..

For NSG, being under the home ministry...should be made exclusive to Paramilitary and state 'Police' forces. Only IPS having undergone SWAT and other courses should be deputed. Air Marshal, counter-hijacking (domestic) must come under its prerogative. Anything external goes to Army/Navy_Tier1 units including counter-hijacking.
Deploy the NSG in Kashmir at least. Otherwise, it's a total waste of taxpayer resources. Sure they do EOD etc. 'knowledge dev' stuff...but wouldn't the Army benefit more had it been at the prerogative of the SF Regiment(had there been one)...

And please rename NSG...
"Black cat" Kali Billi? Black P####...🎶Black magic woman.....seriously? LOL
Stop this black obsession..introduce other camos...black may be good for night ops, but otherwise doesn't suit the Indian hot and humid climate..thankfully the Navy adopted other patterns.

I don't think there's anything to LOL about.

Big Ugly Fat F*cker, Fat Amy, Vibrator, Trash Can, Ass-Ender, Short Little Ugly F*cker, Vomit Comet, Son-Of-a-B*tch 2nd Class, Pregnant Beast, Ground Loving Wh*re...to name a few are what air and ground crew used to call their planes despite having both a designation and a name. Don't confuse unofficial names with official ones.

Your statement is like saying "stop this round wheel obsession...introduce some other shapes"

Black Camo is not because of some obsession, it's an operational requirement. SWAT type CT units are primary used for "intervention", usually in dark, cramped spaces because if not this then it's happening in an open space where you don't even need boots on ground as marksmen would be enough to neutralize the threat.

And also if the guys who actually invented this whole concept of Counter Terrorism SWAT units are wearing black then I guess there must have been some reasons...

As for hot and humid climate, do you know how "posh" NSG is in their typical operation scenario? Paras may need to swim through a drain, crouch in shrubs, stay in enemy territory with hot, humid, mosquito filled climate...not NSG; they travel in air conditioned vehicles or helicopters up to the last possible point, disembark, do their operation in a couple of hours and then ride back in AC vehicle. They'd don't give a damn about climate or ration or sleeping bag.

As for all the other suggestions of new units and restructuring...trust me, we already have a pretty sorted system.
The only thing we need to work on is gears and training.
