As a south Asian if you are stuck in such situation its safe to assume that if you survive God really loves you judging by the standards of SF units here.

No chance of terrorists making out alive, destroyed tracks + damaged engine (I think), Just stuck with hostages so probably their fidayeen elements are involved

If I were one of the bad guys, I would plant explosives (plenty of time too) considering its a 1 way mission anyway
So no use of clearing out coach by coach (best try to this - inject troops secretly, civilian disguise - NOT PRACTICAL)

Best shot is negotiations

Sort of, but strong intel needed on number of terrorists
And they might have already setup a parameter around the train or moved the hostages(majority, some are used as shields) to one side and blocked doors so no entry

BUT
one thing, this train had good no. of security personnel and considering how this info can easily be circulated to BLA, I would have some sky marshal like special troops in it

The Royal Dutch Marines have pulled it successfully though 1977..
But it wasn't this large a hijack team

By the time Barri fauj reaches their bodies would have started to rot.(with all due respect to the civilian)

Baki Balochis are not too pro Pakis.

I wont be shocked if SSG doesnt go the extra mile now to save civilians to avoid own casualties.

Not very clear but some reported that these soldiers were going back for leave (Unarmed, not normal army rotations)

Still if there are a 100 soldiers and terrorists kill 20 odd then the rest of 80 should fight.

Its common sense your time has come or will come.

On top of that all this talk of sahadat and Jannat..and it being the ultimate achievement.

Should be motivating enough to fight and get matyred!
